Straight from the twisted mind of Grandmaster Flash (Tom Midgley). The Hell-Pincer is a 'Homebrewed*' monster lucking in the depths of The Plagueround. Realised in art fantastically by @Livie.Graphics.
*Homebrewed - To Homebrew something is a DnD term, meaning creating something for your campaign that is not in the official DnD books. While the boys are all using official DnD stats that are manifesting as curses, The Hell-Pincer is a completely new creation for Roll From The Hip.
This was a fantastic first battle for our boys, at first a scary physical threat, made only more horrifying when the screaming face in the tail was revealed.
SAM'S NOTE: While I've not been able to get anything officially out of Midge, my own personal head cannon is that the screaming face is all that remains of a student who failed to graduate St. Churnley's, much like Thompson. But what do I know...
This monster represents a pivotal moment for RFTH, can these boys perform DnD combat in an entertaining manner. In previous attempts it had felt a lot of the time we were just rolling dice and doing math. But this battle everyone really came to life and defeated the beast in spectacular and hilarious fashion.
Based on how well they did I'm sure they are going to be absolutely fine for the rest of the series...
