Okay.. So in order to save a lot of exposition, which will be explained in Episode 2. The Majika Empire started out as nomadic tribes until the Mother Mistress Violet united the tribes to form the Majika Empire.
However, many centuries ago, the Majika were originally those who fled from the tyrannical empire known as the Ky'Reen. If you're familiar with "The Chronicles of Gor" then imagine Ky'Reen being such.
The Ky'Reen had two major revolts.... the first revolt... there was a time when Ky'Reen was moving towards a government of senate, away from the archaic traditions of where the men ruled and treated women kajira, or "slave girl" and often times treated them more like objects rather than humans.
For a time, the Ky'Reen eventually did reach a state where men and women, all classes had a sense of equality. Until the flames of the old regime caused a coup and exiled the the senate and their followers into the harsh deserts.
Years later, many citizens started to follow Violet, who challenged the archaic lords that ruled the empire. Violet then took her followers and fled Ky'Reen into the desert and throughout their journey, they came across various nomadic tribes. Eventually, after banding together, they became the Majika Empire.
Soon enough, the Ky'Reen learned of the Majika and invaded. They goals, to conquer and subjugate the women back to their oppressive rule. It was then that Violet had a vision of Theoria, the Life-Mother who guided her to the north to find the people who were originally exiled. She took a few of her trusted guards and trekked north, and eventually came across the Durngarde.
Or better known as "The Exiled Nation." The Durngarde weaponry and armor were very similar to that of vikings. Although they didn't raid and plunder settlements. Much like the Majika, they kept to themselves thriving in secrecy.
To solidify an alliance, Violet married with the Baron of the Durngarde, making her Baroness. With the united forces of the Majika and Durngarde, they were able to repel the Ky'Reen. Violet had another vision of Theoria, to honor her.. the Virgin Tribute Ceremony must be conducted yearly.
It is said, that the virgin will receive special powers gifted from Theoria. Since then, the Majika Empire has been safe and kept secret from the world... until recently. There was a special instruction passed down from Violet.
The year when the outside world discovers the Majika, as part of the pact between the Durngarde and Majika... the next tribute must have white skin like the Durngarde. Hence why Max has to do it.
In Episode 2, I'll probably use Wild Life (By Adeptus Steve) to explain the story while Max watches an explanation. But that's just a gist of it. But I'm giving a bit of a rundown now because Max will be talking about some of it in her monologue before the Spear of Fertlity is invoked.
