July 2022 Poll + Updates

Good evening, everyone!

I hope you are doing well tonight, first of all.. I want to say thank you, for your continuous generosity on my Patreon, thank you for staying to support my art this month. ^^

We are stepping into July now. Hopefully this month I can motivate myself more to stay creative. So, before we go into the updates section (which might be a bit of a feel trip), I'm happy to present our new poll, this July 2022,  I have decided to give it a go with two of my personal favorite breed! They are Australian Shepherd Dogs and White Swiss Shepherd Dogs, help me decide which one you'd like me to draw this month. Are you team Aussies with their famous butt-wiggles? Or are you up for the gorgeous White Shepherds? Your choice! <3

For me personally, it's a tough choice! So, please spare a minute to input your vote as it will be very much appreciated! I'm pretty sure our Collie-Shepherd couple will be excited too. :D

Now for the updates, well... I think this time it's more like a review of June 2022. Looking back... it was certainly a rough month in my life. Around June 17th afternoon, I lost one of my senior dog, Moonjaw. His health was declining very rapidly over the course of four days, I took him to the vet after he did not want to eat, my vet is the best in town, he treat and look after my family dogs (and my dogs) since the beginning.

But after a couple vet visits and support care, there was no significant improvement. He said to me that Moonjaw was 'just old', my vet said that his heart was good but his liver and kidneys weren't great and is failing due to his age, I felt defeated because there were nothing else we can do to make him better except support and comfort. On his final day, I remember he had a good sunbath with the other, went to pee by himself, and lay down on grass. I was on his side all the time, helping him to move around. He passed on my gaze at home.. surrounded by my family. My dog was 9. :')

I was at the lowest after his passing, but being a 31 y/o adult, I must stay strong. I spent a couple weeks grieving and you know.. just be present for my other dogs. I decided to allocate my downtime to make a dog chamber beside my fireplace/bed so the warmth of my fireplace can spread more evenly.

By the way, I don't really have a bed... haha, I think I remember I said that in June I was going to get a new bed and pillow for me and my dogs, didn't manage because I spent my savings for Moonjaw's treatment, but I didn't care about anything else back then.. haha.. ha. Anyway, I still have a leftover wood planks from my Art Gallery construction. Made a hole on one side of my fireplace for the extra dog chamber.

The house I'm living in is my design so I know its structural integrity, I've always look forward to this kind of side project, modifying house for the better. :)

My dogs are a little bit happier now, I always have trouble with finding spot to sleep because by the time I done with my daily art stuff, the bed are already occupied, sometimes I have to transform into liquid form, filling the remaining available gaps between my dogs just to sleep. xD

Anyway, that's all for the updates of the artist's life! I'm very sorry if it got too personal, I guess it was the main reason my art productivity was terrible in June.. :c

This July we will be seeing new artworks though! And I'm currently saving to continue the Art Gallery construction in August 2022. The gallery must be completely ready before December this year. That's my goal~

I'll see you soon on the next post! As per today, I'm still finishing up a couple of pictures but we should see new artworks coming up on this weekend. :)
