Greetings dear Patrons!
I hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend! I would like to share a sketch animation that I've been working on for the past couple weeks.
Before we go into the technical description on how this sketch came out to be. I'd like to mention that my base expertise is around 2D drawing and watercolor illustration, which means that I feel confident only in capturing a single frame. With that being said, I apologize if this post doesn't satisfy your expectation, I'm doing my best practicing.. hahaha~ ^^'
What we're seeing here is a pretty simple scene, our feral collie being squirty as usual~
The animation consist of 5 primary sketches/frames, with one main reference drawing which was based on similar pose from one of my collie-shepherd drawing entitled "Klassic Knotting", basically I tried to pick up a pose that I'm familiar/have drawn before. So, I knew I had to work my way out to make a motion drawing.
It's only 10 frames in total, however the last 5 frames had gone through digital stitching (for the collie's fluids <3) while still using the same primary drawings as reference. Instead of drawing the same picture over and over again, it is better to use all methods available because at the end, we're just looking for a moving squirty collie. xD
The method I used for this sketch animation is basically the same method I use to clean up some dusts/debris that got scanned while I'm making digital softcopy of my artworks, stamp tool and eraser is the way. Still.. it required a considerable amount of time and effort to make the sketch animation smooth. :3
I hope you like this one! Please leave a comment if you have any. I'd love to hear your thoughts and/or if you like to see more like this in the future. :)
Thanks and I'll see you soon on the next one!
