Sea Dweller - Sketch Drawing

Greetings my dear Patrons!

I hope you are safe and well, wherever you are out there! I've heard news that few regions in Europe and some regions in the West got hit by natural disasters. I pray for the safety for everyone.. it seems that our Mother Nature is in her bad mood, I have extreme and wobbly weather too here. With the pandemic that is still on going, I can say that this year hasn't been great for most of us!

Alright then, this time we are seeing on our collie's perspective, we both know from the previous sketch featuring his shepherd and the winged horse, our couple is in their mythical adventure!

The story of the shown scene above goes like this, our collie was taking a dive to appreciate the beauty of coral reefs, he is lucky that in the ocean in their world is pristine and well-preserved by their kind (anthros). All in sudden, he felt a huge pull that he thought was a sea currents that's trying to swept him to the deeper sea. Of all the odds, our collie is a great swimmer and when he tries to swim back to the shore he felt something dragging him back to the open ocean. After a moment of struggling he realized that he found the rare creature he's been wanting to see, a Wyrm Dragon!

According to my poor research wyrm dragon is basically a fantastic creature, a wingless kind of water that dwells in bodies of water, they usually lives in the deep freshwater lake or river delta. In this case this wyrm is probably strayed out to the ocean in search of food.

Luckily for our collie, it seems that even the story of the loving collie-shepherd couple has spread to the mythical realm and the dragon takes it as an opportunity to get in touch and se(a) by itself. Wyrm dragons, regardless their appearance, is said to be the most wisest of all dragons, they also a cunning trickster, so I heard. I think it's only natural for the wyrm to get a quick taste before letting the collie go. :3

I'm honesty scared of deep ocean or any creatures that is not clearly visible from the surface of water. This drawing was out of my comfort zone (similar to the one with the octopus), but I need to improve and expand my creativity and so far it's working great and I'm enjoying drawing new things. :D

Anyway, the next one will feature a certain figure from the Norse Mythology and we'll be seeing both collie and the shepherd making friends with one of the most fearful creature of the underworld. :o Stay tuned!

Also, if a certain private commission artwork I done arrive on the commissioner's region tomorrow, I can share the sketch drawing too. Expect to see more art coming in this week~
