Hi guys,
I'd like to share this sketch commission I did yesterday for a client and long time friend of mine. The commissioner asked me if I can illustrate his character in a semi-anthro form, it's an interesting form/shape that sits in between feral and anthro, basically semi-anthro is a feral that can stand up and grab things. :D
I've been looking up to the references and some old cartoon movies. Semi-anthro characters isn't new throughout history of art and it reminds me of (for example) the classic Robin Hood (1973) where the main fox character has the tendency to be a semi-anthro. We can also look up from the art of Antonio (Tony Wolf) Lupatelli which feature semi-anthro characters in his animal illustrations. There are more of these kind of characters in illustrations of Aesop's Fables too. I think semi-anthro is just the way we call it now, it's a contemporary term, however, there is one important aspect that we often see in the present time, and that is the bits. :3
Anyway, thanks for viewing, there will be no colored version for this particular piece since it's just sketch commission. :c
I'd like to make an update too that I'll have something in color up on my Patreon before this weekend, please stay tuned for more. ^^
Thanks for supporting me on Patreon, you guys are super awesome! I will give my best to deliver more art for you and the world to see!
