We wanted to introduce this location as an extension of Stukov's training route, partly to diversify the environment. In the second chapter, you spend about 90% of your time in Sarah's room, and we really wanted to add some fresh air (well... not exactly air โ you know how Stukov is ๐).
As you can see, the room is designed in the style of a battlecruiser's cab. This was done intentionally: we wanted Stukov to feel at home here, in a place that was close to his heart.
In fact, we had a whole series of scenes and events related to this location. What's more, at one point there were so many ideas that we seriously considered: โMaybe... a DLC?โ
Haha, yeah, imagine that: DLC with Stukov. We know some of you are already getting goosebumps. ๐
Jokes aside, when we realized the scale of what we had planned โ and how difficult it would be to fit it into the main storyline โ we decided to put it on hold. We then focused on the main storyline so as not to lose focus.
In addition, we wanted to introduce Stukov's quartermaster into this room โ a built-in AI that would, of course, be strictly tailored to its owner. It was supposed to reveal a new side to Stukov's life, show what he does behind the scenes... and reveal a little bit about his feelings for Sarah. ๐ค
A whole series of training scenes was also planned. You may have seen one of them โ we even started drawing it (albeit with a different artist). Hereโs the link if youโd like to take a peek.
Now, a question for you:
What if such a location actually existed? Would you like to see a DLC dedicated to training, everyday life, and... Stukov's quartermasters? ๐
Let us know if you like this idea โ who knows, maybe it will come back again. ๐
