Melty Mercury from Outer Space: Chapter 11
Added 2020-06-07 06:56:41 +0000 UTCSummary: Nikki is taken over by an extraterrestrial symbiote that changes her into a metal slime girl. While this comes with great power, she's unsure if she can control herself, or handle the extra baggage that comes with it.
CHAPTER 11
Nikki swelled with confidence from the day's outset. Of course, she also swelled with whatever new, alien material she had assimilated in the morning, but that was neither here nor there. She felt like she was getting increasingly comfortable in her own skin...
...Of course, all of her experimentation was done in the privacy of her own home. And stepping back out in broad daylight was a different matter entirely. What used to be a routine commute was fraught with uncertainty. And all of Nikki's confidences deflated like an overworked tire.
What if something went wrong? What if her human veneer shined in just the wrong way to tip someone off? What if her backpack spilled? What if she absorbed something in broad daylight? She'd have to change her lunch plans, and pick a place without silverware.
She was mostly suspicious about the intent of her body itself. She knew her twintails in particular had a mind of their own; she squarely focused her mind on keeping herself in check. Stiff as a board.
It was all she could do to distract herself from the mild hunger pangs she got. She never really thought about it, but now she fixated on all the metal she could get her hands on. Stop signs, traffic signs, parking meters... not to mention all the cars that drove by.
She shuddered to herself, stepping away from the curb. Her lip flattened, hugging herself. Suddenly, she was feeling pretty self-conscious... and she imagined her enormous backpack was drawing more attention than she'd like. But that was the sacrifice she'd have to make.
Nikki gave everyone a wide berth walking down the street. She couldn't afford errantly bumping into a stranger, momentarily distracted with their phone, and inadvertently swallowing it whole. The possibility was all too real; she already ate her last phone.
Her eyes drifted to a window display on the new uCall, with zero-interest. And it came free with a new contract...
"Maybe I could get a new one..." Nikki wondered aloud. The idle thought was fleeting; she shook her head, and continued on her way.
Commuting by bus was always a chore, but today there was that distinct feeling of risk and danger that seemed to follow Nikkki wherever she went. She stood apart from the bus stop, away from the others, and was the last to file on when everyone else got on. She grimaced, feeling the bus sag slightly under her weight.
"Must be the bag." She muttered to herself. "Well, if it fits..."
Nikki was lucky that this line saw so much service in the morning, and that they sent so many busses to service it. She could take a pair of seats to herself. She'd have to think of a solution for the really busy days. She could try walking. Actually, she remembered the bike and scooter rental services around town.
...If she didn't end up absorbing the damn thing mid-trip, that might end up being a bargain.
---
Despite her trepidation and her cautious movements, Nikki made it to class on time. Conagher Hall was the largest and most traditional lecture hall at McDaniels University—the seats seemed to tower upwards and upwards, reaching towards the rafters above. An oaky scent filled the air, the smell of the centuries-old floorboards that lined the rows.
Nikki grinned awkwardly to the odd classmate she passed by—there were too many to really keep up with. She eyeballed the aisles with a degree of trepidation. Normally, she'd try to sit near the front, just to have a better look at the notes the professor was making. But she couldn't shake the paranoia of strangers undressing her with their eyes, especially if her body did something leery and alien without her consent.
...Of course, the thought crossed her mind that she was, technically speaking, still naked. The clothing she wore, the backpack she was heaving around, her shoes and glasses, were all convincing replicas at a glance. But she couldn't shake the feeling of a breeze brushing against her entire body, even through her clothes. The windows were open to allow light in.
Nikki grimaced, and hiked up towards the row furthest to the back. She didn't like the thought of it—the back row was the domain of miscreants, truants, slackers and disinterested alike—but it also meant she wouldn't have to worry about people staring at her from behind.
She sighed, taking one of the aisle seats. She took off her backpack, and tried to drop it to her feet...
"Oop!"
...But she forgot her earlier situation. The strap adhered to her hand like super glue and jerked her into a position where she had to lean over. The loud thump! could be heard around the hall. Nikki froze, looking forward. It seems nobody really cared...
...And on a brighter note, the backpack was resting on her foot, leaning against her left shin. She could remove her hand now. Seems the trick was just to have some part of her connected to the rest of her mass at all times. Separation was out of the question.
"...Okay then. Notes, notes... oh."
Nikki stared forward, coming to a sudden realization: she left her laptop at home. The one she usually used for note-taking at school. She didn't want to touch the thing after all the other absorption that happened.
She sat pat, a feeling of mild worry coming over her. She was a meticulous note-taker, and she didn't care for idle hands. It wasn't the worst thing in the world that could've happened, but...
Oh, the professor was at the front. She squinted, trying to make them out.
"She looks like an ant from up here..." Nikki muttered to herself. "How do people learn anything up here? Can't even make out the whiteboard..."
Nikki leaned forward to no avail, before flopping back in her seat. The lecture was about to start too...
...One of her eyebrows perked up. A strange idea crossed her mind. She reached into her pocket to pull something out; her hidden hand flexed slightly, the unseen mercurial ooze materializing and quickly shapeshifting into her favourite pair of glasses.
Once she revealed her hand, it looked as though she just just reached for her glasses. She tapped the rim with her index finger, before casually putting them on. Then she just leaned back in her chair, and let the glasses work their magic.
This thing is smartphone integrated, which means I could do a bunch of stuff with it, liiiike...
Through the lens of the glasses, Nikki's view of the lecture hall focused and narrowed—effectively zooming in on the lecturer. Nikki grinned; now she could actually see them, and what they were talking about!
And a window even popped up in the corner of her lenses! A word processor to take down a transcript of the lecture. She smirked, leaning back in her chair. Nikki wouldn't have to lift a finger to take down everything!
Folding her hands into her lap, she kicked back to watch and take it easy. In the back of her mind, she had to admit; the freaky alien superpowers came in handy every now and then!
---
After a thrilling lecture on mineral groups, everyone in the lecture hall made for the doors. Nikki followed suit, though she was somewhat distracted, silently browsing some tabs on her smart lenses. She needed to do some grocery shopping, but her unique biology didn't take to normal food as well as it used to. Her mind wandered to the idea of bulk-order websites to ease the hunger pangs.
She found the online storefront of a bulk DIY supplier nearby she could order from and go to pick it up later. Her interest was piqued at the discounts. She was actually about to finalize a decently-sized purchase...
"'Ey, Nikki?"
A familiar voice momentarily distracted her. Her eyes lifted up, glancing in the direction of the familiar voice. Sure enough, it was Brad. Of course, Brad was hard to miss; the average layperson would charitably call him a beefed up himbo, but Nikki knew him a little better than that.
"Oh! Brad!" Her eyes widened slightly, swiveling in his direction...
Thunk! Her heavy backpack, itself the size of an elementary school child, collided with an errant student minding their own business.
"Hey, watch it!" The student barked anxiously, adjusting his thick-rimmed glasses.
"Ack! Sorryyy!" Nikki's face flushed, swivelling again to face them... inadvertently swinging the backpack over in Brad's direction.
"Whoa there-" Brad was a little quicker on the uptake, raising his arms and taking a slight step back, watching the backpack swing right past him. He had good reflexes, and managed to avoid getting suckerpunched by it.
"You're lucky you didn't break my set of beakers..." The irate student muttered, pulling himself together and stomping off. Nikki could only watch and stare at his backside with a grimace.
"Sheesh.. moody, much?" Nikki muttered under her breath. She shook her head curtly.
"Whatcha got there, Nikki?" Brad wondered aloud with a tilt of his head. "You planning on camping later?"
"Eh? ...Oh! Right, Brad!" Nikki spun around once more, again inadvertently leveraging its weight as a potential bludgeoning instrument. "I'm just, uhhhh... keeping all my books in here!"
"...Really? Don't they have lockers here?" Brad blinked. "Jeez, I bet they're heavy... want me to carry that for you?"
Brad was already reaching over to take the backpack from Nikki; she smiled widely, stepping back just far enough to elude Brad's reach.
"No no, no, it's fine, I'm fine!" Nikki shook her head curtly. Of course, the knapsack was a pile of alien biomass disguised in plain view; there was no way she could let Brad in on that. She wracked her brain for a change of subject...
"Hey, Brad! Wanna get pizza??" Nikki bounced in place, eager to change the subject.
"Pizza?" Brad blinked.
"Yeah! There's a New York style place 'bout five minutes! I kinda stood you up cuz I had paperwork to do, buuuut... I got it done!" Nikki flourished her hands. "You wanna get a bite to eat? I wanna make it up to you!"
"...Ohhhh yeah." Brad nodded. "Well, sure, why not? Done my classes for the day, and I got a few hours until my shift starts at the gym."
"We got time! It's just across the street from here! C'mon, c'mon!" Nikki reached for his hand and dragged him towards the doors.
"Wh-whoa, some grip!" Brad exclaimed, feeling his large body tugged along effortlessly by the energetic Nikki.
---
The smell of charred pizza crust permeated the hole in the wall of Mezzini's Pizzeria. Rumour had it that Mezzini's had a mean Neapolitan pizza. There was a table for two outside that was free, and the weather was nice, so Nikki and Brad claimed it for themselves. Nikki had to be careful when she was seating herself, making sure to lower her knapsack just right, and maintain contact.
"So I guess we're trying this dating thing out for realsies now!" Nikki beamed, leaning forward. The tables were wood, so she felt comfortable relaxing her guard juuuust a bit.
"Yeah, guess so. Nice joint!" Brad looking around. "Kinda figured I'd get the chance to take you to a fancy place at some point..."
"Ahhh, you don't gotta get too hoity-toity around me." Nikki tilted her head. "...Oh! Brad, I'm sorry I missed you yesterday! I really needed a shower right then and there." Nikki tried to play it off casually.
"Yeah, I'm just surprised I saw you at school at all." Brad's eyebrows furrowed slightly. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're feelin' better, but... you passed out in a bathroom stall, girl."
"A-Ah, um..." Nikki had to admit he had a point, but there was no way in hell she was going to drop the reality of the situation on him. "I... slipped, I think. But got a good night's rest! And I took some medicine, drank some water, and I'm all shipshape again! Really!"
Nikki had an awkward smile about her, one that Brad found slightly suspicious. His mouth flattened; he raised a finger to interject, wondered about it, and then lowered it. Brad seemed to think about his response.
"...Well at least it's not a fever..." Brad rubbed the back of his head. "Probably wouldn't wanna go giving that to other people."
"Oh no, no, I'm not contagious! Hahaha, haha, haaaah..." Nikki wondered if Brad could see her sweating. Then she wondered if she could sweat anymore. The workings of her frazzled mind were masked by an anxious grin.
"...You sure you're okay?" Brad's eyebrow perked up.
"I'm great!!" Nikki nodded. "Bounced back just fine!"
"...Alright. I believe you." Brad nodded. "If it's any consolation, you look great. And I guess it might come off a little creepy, but..."
"...But...?" Nikki blinked.
"Your hands are really smooth." Brad glanced, blushing slightly.
"Eh? Smooth?" Nikki cocked her head to the side curiously. She glanced down to her own palm.
"Y-Yeah, like... I dunno, workouts tend to leave my hands chaffed to hell, but, like... you know what kinda product you use? I know my mom would love a recommendation, eheh." Brad rubbed the back of his head.
Nikki's eyebrows furrowed, raising her palms upwards. With an index finger, she traced along her palm. Her eyes widened imperceptibly, feeling how smooth her palms were. She eyeballed her fingertips; did she lose her fingerprints? Or did she forget to materialize them...?
"...U-Um!" Remembering herself, she clasped her hands together, gritting her teeth. "That is... you know, I don't remember offhand, but I could check my bathroom when I get back."
"A-Alright, that... sounds good." Brad rubbed his neck. "That's not, I dunno, a weird thing to ask, right?"
"No! ...Maybe?" Nikki tapped her finger against her chin. "Y'know, I don't know. But I figure this isn't gonna be an astounding leap to feet pics, or whatever weird stuff actually goes on..."
"Feet pics?" Brad blinked. "...Think I heard about that. Can't say I'm a fan." He chuckled with a shake of his head.
"Heheh, yeah." Nikki laughed along. At the same time, she anxiously scrunched her toes...
...Only to feel the entire sole of her shoe curve unnaturally in response. Nikki's eyes widened, Hidden underneath the table and away from prying eyes, she doubted anyone spotted that... but her breath went still with the sudden sensation of it as she flattened the sole back out.
Nikki tugged at her collar. All of a sudden, she remembered her compromising position. She was, in the technical sense of the word, bare naked in front of Brad, and out in public too; she was just putting on a very convenient disguise, with her own alien biomass weaving and colouring to form strands of thread, woven fabric, clothes.
She felt more than a little exposed, rubbing the "fabric" between her fingers. God, her fingers were smooth... and so was her shirt.
"Large Neapolitan, right here!" A waiter swung by with their order with a can-do attitude. This was enough to jolt Nikki from her momentary bout of malaise, glancing up to the waiter.
"Oh, thank you." Nikki muttered, lowering her eyes to the pizza. She glanced to Brad with a slight smile. "Alright, you ready to dig in?"
"Buon appetito!" Brad exclaimed, reaching for a slice. Nikki paused for a second, before snickering in response.
"I didn't know you were so worldly, Brad." She grinned, reaching for her own slice, taking a bite.
...It was funny. It was tasty, but it wasn't really... satisfying to Nikki. It'd do for now, she decided.
Of course, it didn't take long for the pair to dust off the pan of pizza. After quickly agreeing to split the bill equally, they were back on the road.
"Damn, that place was good!" Brad patted his belly.
"I'll say. You pounded back like four slices in no time at all." Nikki's eyebrow perked up.
"They're thin slices!" Brad laughed. "I'm not done with growing up!"
"Yeah yeah, all about the bulk up routine." Nikki scoffed. "Protein this, protein that, sheesh. You gotta work on aaaall the core groups, y'know?"
"Pfft, like you have to lecture me." Brad grinned wryly, before turning to her. "Hey though, thanks for showing me the place. You got any plans?"
"Ahhh, I think I ought to... head back to my place. I'm expecting a biiiig delivery. Groceries and stuff." Nikki left out the small detail of what the delivery contained; it'd probably beget more questions.
"Ah, cool, cool." Brad nodded. "You need a ride back to your place? S'least I can do."
"Ahh..." Nikki thought about it briefly. "Sure! Beats the bus anyday. You're still driving that ginormous Hummer everywhere?"
"It helps with getting weight-lifting gear here and there. And I need the extra legroom~" Brad folded his arms with a hearty guffaw.
"I guess all the other baby cars give your monster machine a wide berth too, so that's gotta be convenient." Nikki smirked.
"Exactly! I left it over in the school parking lot." As it turns out, they weren't far from the lot at all.
"Can't miss it, the damn thing takes up two spots all on its own and..."
Nikki trailed off as they approached the vehicle in question, Brad's most valuable possession: an enormous Hummer with a slick red coat of paint. It was giant compared to the other vehicles, an imposing metal box of engineering prowess. And though it was an older model, it was built to last.
Nikki stopped in her tracks, a curious sensation coming over her. Her twintails writhed excitedly, though at a glance it may have given the impression that they were simply blowing in the wind. Nikki clutched her thighs together as she looked over the impressive piece of machinery, and one commanding thought rose to her mind.
She wanted to integrate with it. Badly. She wanted to unleash her entire mass over it like a tidal wave, enveloping the machine, making it part of her. She wanted to make its strength her own. Her breath was shaky, anticipation building inside of her.
It was like an animalistic yearning. She needed that thing inside of her. Lunch with Brad did nothing for the hunger she was feeling right now.
"Hey, you wanna throw your backpack in the trunk?" Brad called out, walking over to the driver's side.
"Ah!" Nikki raised her head, her face unmistakably red. "I... I-I'm good! Fine! I-It's not a long drive, ahah... I-I can just jump out anyway!"
The call back to reality jostled Nikki back to her senses as she hurried to the passenger side. She didn't like the thought she was having, but she knew it had been a while since she had assimilated something. Her body might've been itching to take something into her at any time...
"...Ah-" Nikki saw a silvery sheen overtaking the back of her hand as she reached for the door handle, and immediately wrested it back to shake it off, staring until she could focus mentally, restoring its fleshy pigment. She grimaced, looking to the handle again.
With a grimace, she steeled herself, letting herself in. She had to shift the backpack to settle on her lap. It really did look too big for her, and it obscured her view of the dashboard.
"...You sure you're comfy?" Brad asked quizzically.
"Perfect!" Unseen to Brad, as Nikki hugged her backpack, her twintail slithered out to reach for the seatbelt, tugging it over for her hand to reach. She grasped it and strapped herself in, before closing her eyes.
Brad paused, before turning on the ignition. Nikki clutched the sheet anxiously. The rumbling of the engine got her all in a tizzy, the vibrations coursing through her entire body. The roar of the engine excited her down to her core.
Her apartment was just five minutes away. Just five minutes... she repeated this to herself like a mantra.
"You can move the seat back if you want," Brad offered, focusing on pulling out. "In case you need more leg room."
"Fine... I-I'm fine, really, I..." Nikki rubbed her thigh, trying to coax herself to calm down. Her twintails writhed back and forth as she took deep, meditative breaths. She could feel her entire body pulsing at once, like a ticking time bomb about to explode in all directions, all over this car's interior.
Once Brad was on the road proper, he glanced over to Nikki with another concerned expression. "H-Hey, you're breathing kinda funny over there. You sure you're okay? The fever's not coming back, is it?"
"Hah...s'just hot in here, that's all. I'll crank the window." Nikki lied, knowing exactly what was going on. She reached for the handle, manually opening the window with a few rotations.
Brad watched with some degree of trepidation, before shrugging, deciding his attention was better spent on the road.
"Alright then. Just drink plenty of fluids. Flu season's coming up, don't wanna get caught with your pants down."
Nikki bit her lip and nodded, simultaneously bemused and frustrated that Brad wasn't picking up on how absolutely horny she was getting at that very moment. Could he be that much of a muscle head? Or was he simply that oblivious to a girl's needs?
She supposed that maybe not every boy had experience with girls. Though Brad probably had no issues attracting the attention of hot girls himself. It really was an anomaly. The conundrum almost managed to distract her from the irritated sex fog that clouded her mind, pervading her entire being.
Her labia throbbed, the fabric of her simulated underpants threatening to melt away and expose herself properly. She had to do all she could to stop herself from moaning in Brad's car. She desperately wanted something inside of her, and she wanted it badly.
Her attention turned to the passing sights of the city, looking for literally anything to distract her. But her curious mind leapt from sight to sight. Even the stop signs teased at her entire being, growling hungrily as she imagined her entire body melting down, oozing up its shaft in a perfect double helix, and melting it down to comprise her, be part of her. She felt so small in this car and she hated it. She wanted to be bigger.
She winced, trying to push those intrusive thoughts to the back of her mind as long as she could. Were they her thoughts? She felt like she wanted it badly, but her mind was so clouded. The pervasive static buzzed in her mind, like she was sitting in a crowded restaurant and nobody could shut the hell up...
Her eyes widened with relief as Brad pulled to a stop right in front of her apartment complex; she nearly tipped over from the weight of her backpack, her hand scrambling for the doorknob.
"THANKS BRAD!" Nikki blurted with a bit too much enthusiasm, leaning over to peck him on the cheek. "I'll see you later okay byee!"
She slammed the door before Brad could get a word in; all he could really do was stare dumbstruck as he watched Nikki rush up the walk way, her twintails bobbing with each frantic step she took.
"What's up with her?" Brad muttered with herself. "...Are home deliveries for grocery really that precise?"
He sat there, pondering the idea. With a shrug, he signalled, pulling back on onto the road. Nikki had been dealing with a lot lately; he'd have to check up on her later, probably.
