2025-08-27 18:27:17 +0000 UTCYes they really played and actually did several tours. Saw Spinal Tap in Seattle live at the Bumbershoot festival in 1984β¦they had the big skull head hung up above the stage, did lots of gags from the movie onstage but were a perfectly capable band!
