You're right about the Rani. She was from the old series. And like you said, she's another time lord (time lady). It was implied that the Doctor, the Master, and the Rani all grew up together as kids. She did once team up with the Master to bring down the Doctor, but failed. And I don't know if it'll come up, but in the old series, she did impersonate Mel to get to the Doctor. And with Mel being back and working for UNIT, it may come up again. Also, Cora didn't cut off her horns by choice. It was forced on her, which makes it extra tragic. Also, I love that you picked up on the parallels between season 1 & 2. Not many people have noticed that. Rylan Clark is a presenter for Eurovision (amongst other things) and a huge Doctor Who fan, so was elated to be involved. In the episode, it's the same guy, just frozen and revived for every contest. Yes, it was Susan and her original actress Carol Ann Ford. She met RTD at the 60th anniversary specials premier and asked if she wanted to return and she did. I truly hope that wasn't her only scene. I don't think it is, but if it is, I will be disappointed. That lizard lady was the same as the singing voice as Janice the goblin from Ncuti's first outing with Ruby Sunday. Graham Norton has some run-ins with Doctor Who in the past. During the broadcast of the very first episode of the revival (Rose) one of his shows was right before and live, and for some reason, when Rose was in the basement about to be attacked by the mannequins, someone turned his mic back on. So, during this tense scene, Graham Norton's voice could be heard. And then at the end of Season 5 ep 4 (The Time of Angels. Early in 11 and Amy's tenure. The crash of the Byzantium. Meeting River Song again) at the very end of the episode when the Doctor was giving his epic speech at the end of the episode, a graphic of Graham covered part of Matt Smith's face. There were complaints and he ended up apologizing for it on his show. But this was his first time actually appearing in the show. And finally, I don't think Ncuti is going to be gone as the Doctor... They would have announced his replacement by now if he was, and they haven't. The only time I've seen that speculation is from haters who want to see the show fail... Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Great reaction as usual!

Loved this episode, so much happened! Ncuti's fury of the timelord moments were fantastic in this one too, the speech through the TV, him using Naruto's shadow clone Jutsu to try and kill that guy, fantastic stuff.
