When he joined UNIT he disliked the soldier mentality and tried to change them. He sees himself as the person to stop war. However, underneath there is apart of him that remembers all the things he has killed. He's self-loathing and regretful

What Id suggest is either splitting the chrome windows in half, or getting Picture in Picture extension so you can overlay their reaction over the media you're watching, or vice versa

2025-02-10 21:58:21 +0000 UTCYeah to Syntells point it does not make a lot of sense for the Doctor rejecting request of the solider when he has companions in the past with background in Armed combat. But there was one time in the Classic series where he nearly made peace deal with both humans and old enemy until his closest friend from UNIT broke that promise due to following orders. It got under the Doctors skin after that.
