Subscribed just to see your reaction to this. This mini episode meant so much to me. As a Brit just old enough to remember the final season of the 80s era of the show and then was in my teens when McGann had his movie, it was fantastic to get some closure on what happened to him. He is a fantastic actor (check out Withnail and I if you haven’t seen it) and truly deserved more screen time as the Doctor. I got to see him perform a full cast recording of an audio adventure last year and he turned up in full costume. He still has a great voice and take on the role.

2025-02-06 19:28:30 +0000 UTCI got SUPER into the Paul McGann audiodramas after I finished Matt Smith's second season airing live, when this special aired I (and everyone else who listened to them) absolutely LOST THEIR MIND. It wasn't leaked ANYWHERE that McGann would be coming back, it was a total and complete surprise. Not all the audiodramas are worth it, but McGann is such an amazing doctor, like Rekkai said he has an incredible presence that can be felt even through only his voice. Mofatt did a great job of bringing him to the new show universe.
