2025-02-05 01:50:15 +0000 UTCMagnuson is definitely a more subtle story arc than Moriarty, but he's present as puppet master throughout all three episodes of this series. First, when he kidnapped John and sent Mary the skip code. Then, some foreshadowing with Janine and also with Mary's role in the wedding episode. As always, it comes together in the third episode. Magnusson comes out from behind the curtain...and so does Mary. Moriarty, ultimately, gets a longer overarching story than Magnuson (we're up to six for Moriarty, while Magnuson only gets three), but I like to think of it as chapters with seasons 1 and 2 being chapter 1, and season 3 being chapter 2 of the overarching story which will all come together in season 4. Looking forward to your reaction to The Abominable Bride (which has a really fun twist and is a good transition) and season 4!
