Okay so now that we can drop the whole no spoilers routine, those boys were ABSOLUTELY victims. and no they won't be in there forever. Thankfully, they will likely be free NEXT MONTH 🙏 god willing. I'm so happy to hear y'all will be watching the documentary

thank u next

I started this show with 0 knowledge about the case but I still chose to believe the brothers, then i decided to do my own research and watch the actual trials and I am even more confident that they should not have to spend the rest of their lives in prison.. I can't wait to hear your thoughts when you watch the documentary!

the way this show makes up so much bullshit is astonishing. I get wanting to show everyone's theories of what happened but even the court cases, which are not up to denial considering they were all recorded, were made up of a bunch of lies. Hope y'all watch the documentary and read up on the case just to understand why the case is so big to this day and why people want these men free

I hate the way they did this series. It did more harm than good, but I just hope you guys watch the documentary.

I am glad you guys are doing the documentary. It means a lot because they get to speak about their lives themselves and it is not a massive dramatisation like this ryan production was

completely agree with you. I am glad they will watch the documentary because so many things in this episode was just wrong... especially the characterisation of Lyle, so they will see the truth of him in the doc.

I’m so mad over this and previous episode. I am mad that they didn’t spend more time on the relatives who testified against the parents. All of them did except for two people. I’m mad they didn’t talk more about cousin Andy, how Erik when they were kids told him about the abuse, Andy felt so guilty about their incarceration, he committed suicide later. Erik sustained a terrible injury on the back of his throat at age 7, which is common in child SA victims, and now dentists are trained to report this injury. Lyle was never reported to be aggressive and all of the “blame fights” are pure fiction. The book also wasn’t incriminating and didn’t affect the sentencing at all, Jill also didn’t leave because of it, it’s because they couldn’t pay her (she even visited Lyle later with her daughter after the sentencing). A member of Menudo came out saying he believes the brothers and that he was raped by José too. And now this show by leaving these details out is doing what the whole media did in the ninety’s. It’s disappointing, especially with a lot of people finding out about the case through this. I believe Erik and Lyle were brought on this Earth to raise awareness about male abuse victims. Poor boys. (Sorry for a long comment, the way the show portrayed them is infuriating as a survivor myself). I’m glad you’ll check out the documentary to at least clear out the fiction. Thank you for the reaction!
