To be honest I wasn't talking about this episode specifically. It was born in a statement Rekkia came out with in the previous story. I do get impatient myself sometimes and only really get to enjoy some of the non main plot stories on re watching. Except for several 2nd series episodes which I find pretty terrible. As for this story, it's a AAA episode.

that's interesting. I don't remember having this problem. The moment I realised that Idris was the Tardis (very early on), I was absolutely hooked. The Tardis is generally my favourite character anyway, so this instantly became one of my fav episodes, scr*w the main plot line lol

i absolutely love tardis-centric episodes, the doctor and the tardis are practically married (that's how i always took the episode title anyway lmao)

My fav line was when Rory says ‘He’s a Time Lord’ and Amy says ‘It’s just what they’re called, it doesn’t actually mean he knows what he’s doing.’

If I recall correctly, this episode was written by Neil Gaiman.

Some Who trivia, this episode was written by Neil Gaiman The white boxes that fly around and send messages first appeared in the show in 1969 in a second doctor story

The problem you've got is the same as what all of us had first time round. Your so invested in the main plot that as soon as you realise that the episode your watching is not part of that story arc you're already disappointed with the episode from the get go. You then have to work your way in to it from a low bar start.
