The Angels attempt to create a rift in time and space such as the Doctor had found in Amy's room when they first met. Amy meanwhile is counting down from 10 minutes and the Doctor has determined that an Angel has taken over her mind.

2024-08-12 20:04:56 +0000 UTCThe reason these angels didn't send you back in time is because they weren't at full strength like the ones in "Blink". Also, a note by Steven Moffatt about the Angels....the characters in the show can have their backs towards them in these episodes, is because WE the audience count is seeing them, so they can't move until no one can see them :)
