I agree and it's that situation that can make her blind to her actions. She's so focused on doing the right thing for her family that she's not realizing she's actually overbearing.

The Sheffields hate her. Her plan was always to secure Edwina and Mary’s future so they weren’t living off of nothing and then to leave the country so she isn’t a burden to them.
