This cute little cat has had quite a history. Her name is Mima, she belonged to the wife of the caretaker in the house where I live (it’s an apartment, and he makes sure people don’t break the rules of the agreement)
Anyway back to the story, the caretaker didn’t like cats so he made her toss out her cat (I just learned this recently) she did but they got divorced anyway (he was just looking for a reason to divorce her that’s why he made hell about a tiny kitty, is what I gathered) after the divorce she didn’t take her cat with her so the cat became a stray. After I lost my cats I had a ton of cat food left over so I started leaving the cat food outside my house because I know there are lots of strays around. She was the only one who liked the cat food so she started eating it.
Fast forward a few weeks and someone’s dog starts eating the food and not leaving any for her, so I bring in the food and she comes in to eat (I have dog food for the dog but he prefers cat food)
That’s how we got here, at first she ate and left, then she started taking naps here and there. Just 30 minutes at a time. Now she only leaves my house for thirty minutes at a time.
Here’s the moral dilemma, I am not ready to own any pets, I’m still traumatized from the loss of my cats and I still get anxious seeing Mima around sometimes but she clearly has adopted me (cat distribution system) so what would you do?
Ps I travel quite frequently….
