Not much changed from sketch to final for this one. Though yeah there was initially gonna be a variety of phrases plastered all over the BAPTIZE BOYZ'Z outfits. But I figured they were spewin enough sick phrases already. And I liked the little logo of the pacifier in the splash, like they're a full on cult or something that tours the world to ensure THOROUGH baptisms. Because clearly some people just don't fucking cut it.

This was actually inspired by going to a baptism a couple days prior. I drew the vicar to be pretty much identical to the one that ran the event that I went to. The baby started crying after the first splash of water so she held off and didn't really see it through. WHICH IS A DAMN OUTRAGE. Haha I pretty much came up with this comic while I was there. Whispering to friends about shouting stuff out like HELL YEAH SOAK THAT BABY. WHAT WAS THAT, GIVE 'IT ERE I'LL SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT. and shouting at the organist to blast some sick tunes "KICK IT MR. COLLINS" etc. A fun day out. I rarely seem to take direct inspiration from real life events to make into a comic given how surrel and unrelatable the comics usually are, so it's always a nice change of pace when that happens.
