UPDATE: Don't Worry I'm Not Slacking

Hey guys as you may have noticed I have not posted a new comic for a few weeks and maybe you're wondering what I'm playing at and WHY SHOULD YOU BE A PATRON IF I AIN'T DOIN NOTHING? Well don't worry I am still doing plenty! I know I shedded light on my lack of activity in the recent comic where Ian dunks me into a grave, but felt that I should go into more detail here.
Rest assured the weekly comics will be coming back very soon I just really needed a break. But during that break I did a lot of cool things!
- Lots of animating + general game prototyping. As you can see from the attached thumbnail and previous updates the game is COMING ALONG. Don't worry those aren't the final HUD designs, at this point it's just all about getting assets mocked up and see how it plays before getting into all the visual fine-tuning. And YES that is a snake monster in the shape of a flexing arm. Maybe they will be called Armadder and when you fight a bunch of them they will be called the Armadder Armada ;)
- Fleshing out book/comic series ideas. I've been toying around with the possibility of doing a special book where every comic ends with someone dunking/binning something. I joked about doing it on Twitter but the reaction was too big to not consider it seriously and I am enjoying the story that I have been developing around it, I think you guys will LIKE IT A LOT. It would also be cool to do a sequel to the Four Horsemen that focuses on them as freelance apocalypsers struggling to find clients. But it's important to gauge crowd interest. I'm conscious many people are more invested in the weekly strips so I don't want to disappear too far up my own arse with all these other projects when I already have the GAME on the go.
- I WENT TO DENVER COMIC CON. I flew all the way over from the UK to the US to share a booth with Kris Wilson of Cyanide & Happiness at Denver Comic Con! It was very SICK of them to give me some of their table space so that I could draw a whole lotta people as fish, it was a wonderful time and I actually made a profit!! I'm so glad that US conventions are actually becoming a more feasible option for me because I'd love to meet more of you DOLLARYDUDES. But as for now I am back in the UK and just had a fat snooze so it is now time to get back into THE WORK.
As always thanks for your support and thanks for still being patrons despite my shameful lack of activity on the website but know that I have still been working hard behind the scenes to bring you the good stuff in OTHER MEDIUMS.
~ Dan
