my loves !!! hihihihihi !!! in this post i will explain what 'handy' is, and give you tutorials on how to set up your phone using handy!

💌┆what is 'handy'?

handy is a super clever little app made by one of my sweet friends - on the app, you can find hundreds of icon and wallpaper bundles created by really talented artists, and the best part is that handy sorts out all of the set up process - you just need to select the icons you want to use and then they all magically appear on your home screen! 

all of the oakfrogs icon and wallpaper bundles are now up on handy, meaning you can install my bundles to your phone in a much quicker way using handy!

handy is available for iphone on the app store, and you can get all my bundles for free on the handy app by claiming them using a passcode - full tutorials + links to passcodes are below!!

🔖 setting up icons!

    - method one; using the free, patreon-exclusive passcode

1. click on a patreon post you wish to download the bundle from - you can scroll to the bottom of this post to find links to all the bundle patreon posts in the section 'useful links: wallpaper bundles'
2. you can find the passcode for each bundle directly on the patreon post for that bundle - the handy passcode is found just below the ‘download here’ link and will be a string of four fruit emojis
3. download the app called ‘Handy’ from the appstore
4. open the application and swipe right twice until you are on the leftmost page, called ‘discover all’
5. click the search icon in the top left corner and type ‘oakfrogs’ to find my bundles
6. to find my full page, click on any of my bundles from the search page, and scroll down on the bundle page until you see the ‘see profile’ option
7. my profile will open, were you can find all my bundles
8. click on any bundle you like and tap the menu ‘…’ button in the top right
9. select the ‘passcode’ button to input the four fruit emojis you found on the patreon post
10. continue to step 7 on the tutorial below for next steps in the setup tutorial

    - method two; buying from handy without a passcode

1. download the app called ‘Handy’ from the appstore
2. open the application and swipe right twice until you are on the leftmost page, called ‘discover all’
3. click the search icon in the top left corner and type ‘oakfrogs’ to find my bundles
4. to find my full page, click on any of my bundles from the search page, and scroll down on the bundle page until you see the ‘see profile’ option
5. my profile will open, were you can find all my bundles
6. click on any bundle you like and select the ’buy it now’ option
7. the design will be added to your library after purchase
8. click the green ‘install’ button on the botton of the bundle page
9. since all my bundles have hundreds of parts, it is easiest to press the blue ‘clear’ button to unselect all selected items first
10. next, scroll down this page, selecting which you would like on your pages (you can return here later if you change your mind)
11. click the green arrow in the bottom right to proceed to the ‘rename & link’ page
12. click on the grey ‘unnamed’ text next to each icon image and type the app name you would like
13. click on the green ‘link app’ text next to each icon image and type the name of the app you want to link
14. click the green ‘to install’ button in the bottom right to proceed to the home screen setup
15. handy will ask for permission to download the images to your device, if you are happy with this, accept by clicking ‘allow’
16. click ‘instal icon profile’ to be taken to your iphone settings
17. on the main setting page, click the ‘profile download’ tab
18. select the icon bundle you would like, and then click ‘install’
19. after clicking install, the icons you selected will magically appear on your home screen
20. finally, tidy everything up! press and hold on your screen until the application wobble, and then you can drag each icon and widget around until the layout works for you

🔖 setting up widgets!

1. follow steps 1 to 11 in the 'setting up icons' tutorial above
2. ensure you've also added widgets (and wallpapers, if you would like) to your selection
3. continue by following steps 14 to 19 in the 'setting up icons' tutorial above
4. to add widgets, press and hold on your home screen until the applications begin to wobble, and then press the grey plus icon in the top left
5. type or select the widget option called ‘handy’ and scroll left or right to select the size widget you would like (most of my widgets are made for the small, square widget on the far left, but you can customise however you like!)
6. once the green handy widget appears on your home screen, pass and hold on the widget and select ‘edit widget’
7. select the ‘theme’/bundle name that you are currently setting up
8. select whichever widget you want to add first (you can repeat this widget adding process again for each widget you would like)
9. there are also options to choose a background, you can experiment with this, but for my widgets this isn’t required, so feel free to ignore this option
10. overlays require a subscription to the handy app, but if you would like, you can add an overlay to the widget if you choose, such as a calendar or clock - alternatively, use the app ‘widgetsmith’ for free, click here for my widgetsmitch tutorial
11. finally, tidy everything up! press and hold on your screen until the applications wobble, and then you can drag each icon and widget around until the layout works for you
