Our guest Seb was calling in on his laptop from a park in Northern Kurdistan using his phone as a wifi hotspot... so much could have gone wrong, and some did, but we managed to make a pretty good interview with good quality video and audio! I hope you like it.
It's at times like these, with our government cracking down on free speech whilst arming a genocide in Palestine that I feel so grateful to be working with Alexei on this show, and to have so many listeners and Patrons on board. It really makes me proud and I'm so glad we've created a platform where we can share our anger and grief and speak freely about our feelings. We're not always right about everything, but we are always open to learning from each other and correcting ourselves when we're wrong. Most importantly we are fighting the good fight and speaking our truth in a world that is slowly driving us all mad.
That's what is most impressive about our guest this week. Seb is so brave in his endeavour of traveling some of the most reportedly dangerous places in the world - but his main mission (apart from cycling against borders) is to learn as much as he can along the way. Through reading, speaking and sharing with locals and witnessing first-hand the effects of imperialism across the world. I hope that we can all learn and be inspired by him to try and do the same.
