Dude totally agreed, it's just those minor bits that change shot to shot... though the built-in add-on (https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/addons/object/edit_linked_library.html) is a huge time-saver. The proxy system for linked libraries has weird (and sometimes convoluted) 'rules' on what works, but it also saved me a bunch of times if you haven't checked that out! Stoked to see what's comin from ya next!

It's very handy but I always find one situation where I wish I could just start editing it and I can't 😂 I'll try and show the workflow and process behind the projects in the next few weeks. There's lots of back end organisation

Just wrapped a vfx project where I was using linked libraries for the first time and it was an absolute god send, but I still made lots of mistakes organizing data that led to time lost relinking data etc.
