Channel Update & Skyrim Part 3 Preview

Hey everyone, been a while. I apologize for the radio silence and lack of content the past year. I’d like to say I was super busy grinding out a masterpiece video in secret or something cool like that, but the truth is that I was spending a lot of 2024 kinda just dealing with a lot of personal stuff going on in my life. I also had a bunch of smaller video projects fall through, and between all that chaos, the Skyrim video was neglected.

Fortunately, 2025 has been a lot kinder so far, and progress on Skyrim Part 3 has been smooth and steady. It’s still a few weeks from completion, but the hardest parts of the video are completely done, which I’m attaching to this update so that I’m not coming back completely empty-handed. The link below will take you to the unlisted video page where you’ll find 2 and a half hours of Skyrim Part 3 which is all about the Stealth playstyle. AKA, the Stealth Archer video.

Personally, I’m extremely happy with how the video is turning out. There’s a lot of stuff I learned from the Starfield video that I’ve been carrying forward into the projects I’ve been working on, Skyrim included. The introduction of this video is a good example of those lessons.

With that said, the bulk of this video I wrote before Starfield even came out, so most of the video is in line with the structure and style of the previous two Skyrim videos. Just more polished, IMO. I’m aiming for a late March/early April release for Part 3, which will include the gameplay breakdown that I’m posting now, the Thieves Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, and the remaining Daedra quests.

As for Part 4, I don’t really have a solid date lined up, but I have been doing a lot of recording and research for that section already. Part 4 is all about DLC, mods, Creations, and any other loose threads I got left.

I was talking about combining these videos into one giant video, but I’ve decided against that for several reasons. First, I want something out asap, not in another few months. Second, I think it would make for a less focused video. Third, I’m not even sure how long Part 4 will be, and with Part 3 already clocking in close to 6 hours, if Part 4 was the same, I’d be running up against YT’s 12 hour video limit. And most importantly of all, this project is already giving me tons of technical headaches, pushing a 12 hour video will most certainly brick my PC in the process. No joke, my renderer just crashed while I was writing this paragraph.

With that said, the scope of Part 4 has expanded A LOT thanks to Bethesda bringing paid mods back, and a whole bunch of interviews from former Bethesda devs popping up now. Pretty much every other day I’m seeing more interviews, and this is stuff absolutely worth putting into this video series. So, making all those topics their own video will allow me to cover everything I want to cover and ensure it’s not rushed.

Outside of Skyrim, I have a lot of ideas, and a few things already in the works. There might be one or two things between Skyrim 3 and 4, there might not be. I’d also like to start doing streams again, but as usual, streams are less of a priority than getting videos done.

Patreon will remain paused until I have Skyrim Part 3 done, so anyone subscribed shouldn’t be charged. New people can still subscribe, and they will be charged for their initial signup, but renewals will remain paused.

This post is running way too long, so I’ll cut it here. I’ll be back when the video is done and ready for early access for the Patrons. Enjoy the preview, and as always, I appreciate the support and patience.

This is very exciting news. I really love the way you do these, the mix of telling a story and doing analysis at the same time is something really unique to this genre imo. Quick question : is there an updated discord link anywhere the one on YouTube doesn’t work and I can’t seem to find one here

Thank you so much for the update! Really enjoying the preview so far! I dont know if it feasible to fix, but at 26 minutes you mention that Pat is doing a wow classic video but that's been out for a while so it might be worth changing that to past tense.

Getting back on the horse after a crack-up is the hardest thing - good to see you back!

Thank you very much for the update. Not just for the detailed info breakdown, but also for the lifesigns which, as a person who's also struggling with mental health issues, I appreciate a lot. I will enjoy this preview and gladly remain subscribed even if you aren't able to create a lot of output due to the various restrictions that I don't think anyone here is holding against you.
