It's no secret that Zach and I did not care for the Jurassic World movies, especially after rewatching the original Jurassic Park trilogy recently and reaffirming our love for those. But since Jurassic World Rebirth seems to be its own standalone thing, we think it has the potential to be the best since the good old days!
Keyword: potential.
Easily the worst movie in the entire Jurassic Park franchise, Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson for no reason, wastes Mahershala Ali's time more than Kevin Feige has, and features two subplots but zero main plot. Genuinely the only thing it has going for it is that they can't possibly make a direct sequel to it. Please.

2025-08-26 04:35:28 +0000 UTCi saw jurassic park once as a kid but never watched any of the other movies bc i didnt really care that much but last night my sister who is Obsessed w dinosaurs made me go see this with her for her birthday and i have to say. i kinda loved this real bad but i dont have that prior attachment to the franchise lmao but we'll see if i love this as much on rewatch its very possible i was just charmed by being in a cinema and seeing jonothan bailey on screen

2025-07-11 03:07:48 +0000 UTCJust left the movies and honestly it was a fun watch for me but I the plot armor is crazy, I kept thinking throughout that there were way to many characters and it didn't really make sense that no one in the family died. I will say however there were lots of callbacks to scenes from the originals I appreciated but just like all the other jp world movies I probably will not be rewatching this anytime in the future and the mutations were unnecessary, the part I enjoyed the most was with the T-Rex the mutations were honestly disturbing lol
