Live Drawing Class

This week the model was Noëlle, she was very good at posing and standing still.

2025-05-27 12:14:07 +0000 UTCI would imagine that while photo references are all well and good, there's nothing quite like drawing from life to help one make lifelike drawings. It's been a part of formal art training for centuries for a reason. I hear it's also a great way to see how the muscles and limbs actually work and move, rather than how we THINK they do. I would say something about the importance of getting back to basics, but this work is anything but "basic." Your skill still shows, especially if those notes tell us how long you spent on each pose.
