Most of the western world is drilled for monogamy and those deep roots often close one up for possibilities of, like Prez said, other cultures and sentiments. Nice thought processes imo. Even if Prez looked kinda Uncomfortable ;)

Much like how they viewed the issue with Roxy and wanting to get her back in the dungeon to avoid "the curse". They thought Rudy needed physical intimacy to prevent his "curse". As a group the rest of them discussed who should get with Rudy and Roxy volunteered for obvious reasons. They changed this detail some in the show and didn't make the connection. Elinalese knew it may cause problems but allowed it in order to save Rudy. This is kinda hinted at in the show but never outright explained.
