Zeus, Prometheus & Napoleon are considered special homies because they were created from big mums soul. Meaning she controls them. Given the fact that she is essentially "unconscious" and isn't aware of who she is or the fact that she has this power, she is unable to control Napoleon hence why he isn't awake or doing anything

2025-01-03 23:02:29 +0000 UTCI get that people aren't a fan of amnesia storylines, but to me it's more about them often being a lazy excuse rather than bad on principle. I e.g. think Sabo's is a bit of that lazy eyample as it's just a convenient way to explain retroactively why he never came back to tell them he was alive. For Big Mom we are introduced to her from the start as a completely unpredictable almost natural disaster without much plan and reason to it. So I always felt it works for her as she just continues to be this scary "monster" where you never truely know how and when she might switch attitude/sides again. Her having amnesia never felt like a "fixed" problem to me, but just a problem waiting to happen.
