Don’t feel bad about being confused with kyoraku’s bankai. I read the manga years ago and I still remember being like, “what the fuck is going on” and googling a bunch of stuff about the phrases he used with his moves. 😅😂

First the man hits the woman, then he feels her pain and is struck by an uncurable depresion; later they both threw themselfs into the water but the man cowards and tries to escape, at the end the woman cuts his throat

Its not confirmed but many believe there is requirements that must be meet for shunsui to move on to the next act. Lille is playing a character in the play and must act out the character role to progress the story. We noticed this from shunsui dialogue matching what lille is doing during each act . 1st act he must feel regret from sharing wounds. 2nd act he must feel despair from the sickness 3rd act he needs to not accept the reastui draining abyss and attempt to escape or attack shunsui. This allows him to enter act 4 which is the endgame attack.
