[4:38] - [6:00] I really like that scene. Shows how she matured, but also that she's still young. And that line about showing thanks, bro... Carrot is a real one π [6:00] - [13:30] One more time!! And that Pudding scene. Just great. Not quite a redemption, but better yet - character development in the realest sense. Which was what I was hoping for. [12:58] Bro, stop making me cry π [15:25] Awwwww [16:58] Brulet really is my secret MvP for this whole arc. Never would have imagined that. [22:10] Aww, he's so timid now. I love how he's still a bit hesitant. Humble Sanji is the best!

2025-04-28 22:06:53 +0000 UTCOof, tough choice at [0:10] I really enjoyed Wholecake, but tbh, I enjoyed the middle part of it more then the ending. Everything leading up to the wedding, Sanji, Bege. It was cool and had a lot of suspense. After that... it kinda slowed down. For Dressrosa, it really picked up at the end instead, but also had a lot more ups and down the whole way. But then again, I did enjoy the character building more. Dressrosa felt like it had too many, which left most with less time to shine (like smoothie). Uhhh, can't decide. Both? Edit: Ep. 877 was so goddamn beautiful π₯Ή Easily one of my Top10 favourite Eps in the whole show now!

Also, its ending is one of the best in One Piece, mainly because of that song; βSoul Pocusβ is such a beautiful piece, despite its dark theming with the lyrics.

XD I love the drama, the twists and turns, the Charlotte family, the introduction of the Vinsmoke family, Sanji getting an arc centered on himself, etc etc. I also do love the music. X3

She was ranked #1 by 40 outta 41 older brothers. After 877 itβs pretty obvious that Kata was the one sibling who didnβt vote for her and that Brulee is his favorite little sister and I just think thatβs super cute.

2024-11-08 15:09:33 +0000 UTCI personally liked WCI more! It's not necessarily because I prefer the watching experience but for me it's more what this arc represents and how Oda went about it. It's the start of the 'VS Yonko' saga in OP. Going into this arc we all knew Luffy wasn't defeating Big Mom or anywhere close to her in terms of strength. Meaning Oda had to find a way to write her out of the story/nerf her while still keeping a high level of stakes/tension. Which he did a phenomenol job at. It truly feels like the Strawhats got out of here by the skin of their teeth, and it definitely took sacrifices from multiple parties for that outcome. This paired with Luffy v Sanji, Luffy v Katakuri, Puddings character arc, Big Moms backstory, and just the overall hype of the strawhats somewhat entering the top of the verse in being able to take out a Yonko right hand. It really puts in retrospect that everything before this arc luffy truly was a 'rookie' as people have called him. Now he's just starting to an actual threat. LOVE this arc through and through, it's still my second favorite post ts.

2024-11-08 07:53:19 +0000 UTCi'm team wci all the way, sanji is my fav character for one, but i just think the straw hats in this arc had better moments than the dressrosa crew + katakuri is a better villain to me than doffy, the side characters in wci are better (carrot, pudding, bege, chiffon), and the theme of family touched me more than dressrosa i can't count the number of times i cried in this arc LOL

But, remember that episode 4 came out in 1999 while 878 came out in 2019, a 20 year difference, People will forget some details, so a reminder is a good thing. These guys even forgot Higuma's bounty! Other reactors forgot alot of small details too!

2024-11-07 09:15:29 +0000 UTCbtw, this might be too late already and you already watched on but the next episodes are all part of a shorter arc that is just a handful of manga chapters and it has a lot of episodes like the last one where you get extensive flashbacks to sometimes whole arcs and characters. A lot of people always recommend to just skip through the flashbacks and just watch the few minutes new content in between and that's certainly a possibility (I'm pretty sure there are also versions online that do a cut of those episodes). I personally think there is a bit of nostalgia to these flashbacks and it can be a fun watch if you are aware that you aren't getting a lot of new stuff and constantly wait for it to end. So maybe just be aware and see how you like it, but know it is somewhat skippable if you watch out for the new stuff in between.

Because for me in that case I'm the evil stepmom that mostly cares for her precious favorite.πππ WCI is my favorite post-ts arc by far and it's not even close with Dressrosa. Granted Doflamingo and Law are an exceptional part of Dressrosa, but there is A LOT of stuff that is very take-it-or leave it for me in comparsion. I especially find the Starwhats so much more compelling in WCI, not because I like that team necessarily better, but in Dressrosa some Strawhats barely had anything meaningful to do all arc and a lot of it just felt like wasting time.
