2024-10-30 08:18:59 +0000 UTCI mean in this case for Katakuri it makes sense. He never ventured out to prove himself or had ambitions for himself. He is simply one of the (and in the end THE) big last defense for Big Mom and to him maybe even moreso his other siblings. So the people he could reasonably lose to are the ones walzing into a Yonko territory and if those had ever truely succeeeded he would probably not be where he is today (as we know how Big Mom treats children that don't deliver the expected results for her). And in terms of "training" he grows up alongside all the other Big Mom siblings. He is part of that oldest triplet trio which seems to be involved in a lot of the pysical fighting and that's pretty much it. In One Piece a lot comes down to motivations and what someone is fighting for and for Katakuri that simply seems to be a big enough drive to be ehat he is today.

How is that possible? you cannot get so strong by simply beating weaker opponents. And you certainly are not born this strong. So they achieved this level of strength by simply training on their own? come on...

2024-10-30 07:11:13 +0000 UTCOh and now that we watched Prez's favorite episode, some comments/theories: Good job faking the enthusiasm about the Katakuri fight because you are apparently really glad it's over if the very next episode is your favorite. 🤣Alternatively he might also be the biggest Sulong Pekoms fan in existence OR Germa showing up at the end is what does it (which imho is supported by Prez wearing his secret Germa fan cap at the time he stated that's his favorite episode. It might say ROUTE 66 but now we now that 66 really is for Germa and Prez just needs to hide it a bit for the "first" reaction appearance. 😜)

The next one to watch would be Film Gold (watchable after Dressrosa) and if you really wanna spice it up, you should watch the TV-Special "Heart of Gold " first and then Film Gold. It is not a must, you can watch Film Gold on its own, but I think watching the tv-special first adds a little bit more background to the overall story of the movie.
