I'm not sure if she knows he's shadow. Her expression hinted at it. But if she didn't, considering her feelings for him, and her realising... that would break her further. That's kind of a dick move, considering to him it's just playing and posing

2025-11-03 22:51:30 +0000 UTCWhy cid doesn't get recognized: Mainly the anime cut out that all of shadow garden wears masks on the top half of their faces and replaced it with an ominous magic effect. Also cid can alter his physique. E.g. his red eyes, but also build, face detail, voice and so on There is even more to it. But the tl;Dr is that background character a and the eminence in the shadow appear completely different
