From the sheer absurdity of the struggle that was simply that damn dragon's existence, to its inspiring perseverance, to the infuriating climb, to the over-dramatic farewell, only to be perfectly topped off with Zoro and Law's deadpan dismissal XD

2024-06-16 09:19:03 +0000 UTCPEAK THE NEW ARC FEELS SO REFRESHING I loved Dressrosa but this is sooo soo good and fascinating to see some new faces and have some mystery And I gotta say, Dressrosa arc is the worst paced arc of all one piece even up until now. Toei managed to smooth the edges a little bit with the pacing after that, sometimes stuff will feel dragged but not like the Bellamy fight, for example. So in a way from this arc the anime is going to feel better and the gaps between all the peak moments will be smoother and more enjoyable!! And yeah you're right animation got a little step up so we're eating good

2024-06-15 19:47:55 +0000 UTCAs the dedicated fan I am of both you guys and One Piece, I would like to suggest, once again, that before you watch Film Gold, which I'm sure you will, you should watch One Piece 3D2Y: Overcoming Ace's Death and One Piece Heart of Gold. 3D2Y takes place during the time skip and centers on Luffy during his training arc as he learns to use Haki, while Heart of Gold takes place right before and leads into Film Gold. Both are film length but please trust me when I tell you it's definitely worth your and our time.

The overdramatic climb is great, it's almost like the anime is making fun of its own pacing with this as well and it's genuinely funny. :D Zou is an extremely underrated arc in my opinion mostly because it isn't that long, but whenever I actually think about my ranking of the arcs, Zou keeps beating out so many others if I really think about it and it might be actually close to if not straightup in my Top 5. The only other post-ts arc that I actually like better is the one right after Zou, but otherwise it's way up there (the current still ongoing one not included yet, because I find it hard to judge an arc overall without its conclusion)
