It's hard to talk about that one right now without giving too much away, but I think a lot of people -including me- love it for character development reasons. I think emotionally it's one of the most rewarding arcs so far in the series. My least favorite is fishmen island.

You have Kizaru who has light power that talks slowly, Aokiji who has Icepower but is very passionate, and Akainu being Lava but has the coldest heart.

2024-05-29 12:58:22 +0000 UTCIn terms of favorite arcs post-ts, the best ones are still coming in my opinion. Taking out the one that is currently ongoing: The next 2 arcs are my favorites by quite a bit (the longer one of them is one of my favorite arcs overall, but I think the other one is actually underrated and great in itself). And then Dressrosa and the one afterwards are about the same for different reasons (the non-Dressrosa one is beloved by many though, it has some outstanding parts, but simply also some lows for me which is why I prefer the 2 arcs in between). I personally also kind of have Punk Hazard up there (from a manga perspective) and I have times where I actually prefer it over Dressrosa and the other arc not-named. It's in many regards just a more fun and chill arc compared to the upcoming ones and the more I look back on it the more I enjoy that aspect of it. Fishmen Island is a bit of an unfortunate last place for me, the backstory and some of the thematic stuff in there are great and I love those parts but there's also a lot of stuff in there that feels kind of clunky and the "side cast" isn't really all that interesting compared to the others.
