Blessed be Prez' predictions, for they shall come back to bite him quickly (I'm in tears from [9:22] 😂) Not just Batolomeo. So many people were crucial. Cavendish, Usopp, Viola - if any piece had been missing, we'd be screwed. And I love that. It's not just 'wait for Luffy to punch the big bad', but everyone.

The arc is also not that well paced and structured in the manga, so that is only worsened in the adaptation. I don't know how many people were following it week to week 10 years ago, but at this point people were DONE with this arc. Like negatively speaking. There were a lot of people that were done with the series as a whole and would only return years later. It speaks volumes that the anime pacing nowadays is still kind of the same, but it is nowhere near the same problem.

(although it is heavily implied that most in marineford did use it and many in the new world can) The Manga also only tells that luffy has 1min to go. The last time (before everyone pushed) the cage was mentioned was 3min with an explicit statement that they slow it down. Rebecca's run up was also less than a page. Those 2eps were less than a chapter per episode and it shows. Well, dressrosa has more eps than chaps. If you want to recheck it: 788-789 (finishes with the thumbnail shot)

2024-05-27 16:42:41 +0000 UTCI think the reason why everyone is using haki now is to show that the marines in the new world are just next lvl. Everyone in the new world is excepionally powerful compared to the beginning of the grand line (except the people who have been born there of course).

2024-05-27 15:18:10 +0000 UTCI think infusing haki into weapons etc. is just more obviously visualized from now on, because it's more relevant to winning the battles. It's just easier for the audience to understand what's going on this way. Doesn't mean people weren't using it before, we just didn't necessarily knew it was used before and probably weren't supposed to. But I get your point too, it was kind of weird to reveal it this way.
