Firstly, immortal didn't survive his fights with omni-man... And if you want to count the alternate universe, then he fought him 3 times so far on-screen. Immortal "survived" because his whole thing is that he can be patched together and brought back... Y'know... Like his name says. And omni-man was massively holding back because he was on earth and didn't need to try (plus hasn't really been that challenged on earth so is "out of shape") As for hating immortal, it's their preference, but the guy is kind of an asshole. He acts superior, is distrusting of everyone, is unstable and destructive and doesn't truly care about his team
