So to explain those scenes with Lakyus (the girl with the black sword, which BTW is one of the 4 Swords of Darkness wielded by the Black Knight of the 13 Heroes mentioned in this episode and season 1), her whole thing with the sword being cursed is all just an act. She's a chuunibyou (like Megumin from Konosuba), and for clarity Lakyus isn’t a princess, she’s nobility or at least part of a noble family. Also, this isn't a spoiler, but a fun fact: Sebas isn't human, he's a Dragonoid, meaning he can turn into a dragon-man as a final form.

2024-03-12 03:32:37 +0000 UTCyes, this anime is from a 16 vol novel series, unlike the other anime covered from this animation studio that covers manga which is why they had a harder time telling the story in full, the novels dont go chronological its more like perspective and so we get ainz perspective then we get everyone else's perspective and it kinda goes back and forth, and from ainz perspective a lot if the things he does is based on what is beneficial to nazarick and the beings/entities in it. the anime shows more of the everyone elses side which makes most of what ainz does seem bad to say the least. because it doesnt have the runtime to go back in forth so its formatted as chronological with the others perspective being the forefront.... only season 4 kinda does the style correctly by going back and forth with perspective however all the seasons leaves a bunch of info out. and season 4 leaves the most info out. towards the end because it jumps to volumes or two books, those two books is the movie so unlike most movies the overlord movie is canon and its skipped content from the end of season 4
