Overlord Episode 5

A really funny, but very small, piece of dialog not in the anime that was in the LN, was Nabe/Narberal telling Ainz that she doesn't understand why Adamantite is the highest rank when it's "such a soft metal". In the game world, it seems adamantite was like the final grade of metal for the Lower Tier. So she thinks it should be like stronger, even though in the New World, White Adamantite is the strongest metal there is.

NPCs have a value, too, but theirs are set and can't be changed. Almost every NPC in Nazeric is in the "Evil" to "Very Evil" range. Nabe is at, I believe, -400, with 500 to -500 being the caps. With Sebas being at i think 400, and Demiurge at -500. Also Aura and Mere are technically "Neutral" but are still at -50, so they view Human life with indifference, rather than hatred. That said, in the New World, the NPCs Karma Value isn't the only deciding factor in how they act. Stuff like their setting also shapes their personalities. And Karma seems to have zero effect on Ainz, and presumably other players, as he has a Karma Rating of -500 himself.

Apparently there’s a strange magic that’s passively at work which acts as sort of an auto-translate function. However, it only works on audible spoken sounds and words. Ainz even said that for example: if he were to hear a song that was native to this world, he would only hear the instrumentals and the melody, while the lyrics (and with it the meaning of the song) would be incomprehensible to him.

You'll find out about the methods used in a later season (brrr). 8:50 Nabe is Naberal Gamma one of the battle maids standing with Sebas in the first episode and was also the maid waiting on Ains when he first put on the armor. 18:30 Nabe has a lot to bear, Ains won't let her merc the red head, has to put up with a human simping on her and gets a swat on the head while trying to protect Ains.
