That Monet Ending was epic. Interesting how Doflamingo's subordinates revere him like that. Though, I bet he'd turn out to be an even bigger scumbag than Caesar (albeit with more style). Human trafficking, drug dealing, arms dealing. The new age pirates with Bellamy who crap on people's dreams... yeah, and that was with him mostly off-screen. Very intrigued! PS: What happened to the children in the room where Brook/Kinemon ran into, though? With the girl that helped the Mononosuke? Did they somehow slip into that big group?

I personally like the Arc before Wano also very much! (not gonna say it's name in case of spoilers) Maybe you guys already heard of "One Pace"? It's a community project where fans cut a lot out of One Piece Episodes to help with the pacing. Maybe this would also be an Option for Dressrosa.

2024-02-02 15:01:44 +0000 UTCin my opinion the pace in dressrosa is not bad for a first time watch. but if you watched it already it feels really slow, because you know what is to come

2024-02-02 14:40:54 +0000 UTCDressrosa is probably where the anime quality was at its weakest, not even considering the pacing because that is honestly the manga's fault. It is a very long arc, trying to juggle A LOT of things, and having a lot of structural issues. IMO it has the worst middle chunk of any One Piece arc, and I don't know why so many people here forgot that. Yes, the anime is slow, but it really doesn't help that even in the manga, Dressrosa needed editing very badly. I hope to be remembering wrong and that bingewatching it 9-10 years later is a far better experience.

2024-02-02 08:28:52 +0000 UTCThe pacing is slow but the reason It was hard for some of us is because we watched week to week, so i feel for you guys will be ok, and yeah It have nice hights

2024-02-01 22:28:03 +0000 UTCLaw's hat is really cool in the manga/anime, but in real life, it looks a lot like Joseph's hat from Part 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. XD

2024-02-01 22:18:06 +0000 UTCthe pacing is a bit slow at times, but the story makes up for it, in my opinion. dressrosa is by far my favorite arc, so I don't mind the extra content. I remember just fast forwarding though any recap or repeated scenes, so it went by a bit faster.

2024-02-01 21:21:27 +0000 UTCIf your wondering why everyone is saying "bad pacing" It is 102 chapters vs 118 episodes.... The story is mostly banger But it is padded so atrociously that a scene got infamous because it was repeated over 30 times iirc. For comparison: Fishman and pH had as many chapters as episodes. Marineford had 2 more episodes than chapters Cp9(enies+w7) was 108chaps and 76 eps Modern, non weekly, pacing is somewhere between 1,5 to 4 chapters per episods

2024-02-01 20:14:47 +0000 UTCyes dressrosa is slow paced but there were a lot of manga breaks because oda was in the hospital when he was releasing the chapters and the anime did not do a good job with it when it came to animating it...

2024-02-01 19:51:31 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t say that the pacing throughout the whole arc is bad but there are definitely some parts that didn’t need to happen cause it’s a lot of repeated scenes. Of course highs of Dressrosa certainly make up for it and it has some really good backstories. All in all, you’re definitely going to love the arc by the time you're done but there might be some parts where you just need to rush through them.

2024-02-01 19:21:11 +0000 UTCOfc it’s your choice but personally with dressrosa, I would recommend just trying to push through quickly since watching 1-2 eps will feel like hell, when out of 13ish minutes per episode without recap, then have 7-8 minutes of just running/staring at each other or a whole sequence of punching each other without real progress for a whole minute lmao

2024-02-01 17:56:42 +0000 UTCLike many people here already said the pacing in Dressrosa is honestly atrocius, but the arc still has it's peaks. The main problems for me are that a lot of episodes feel like fillers or drawn out and the overlong recaps. It's still good though in a lot of ways, mostly for -again- setting up a lot of stuff for later arcs and I consider Doflamingo one of the better villains in One Piece. What I mainly like about One Piece post-timeskip though is that it gets a lot more political going forward. Honestly, Oda kind of goes nuts with it at times and I love it. The New World truly is a whole other monster than the first half of the Grandline and that get's more and more apparent from now on. A lot of different factions wreak havoc upon the world and that makes it interesting and is also the main reason why I'm still reading the manga and suffering through badly paced anime episodes every week.

2024-02-01 14:57:56 +0000 UTCdressrosa is pretty badly paced, but the stuff that happens in the arc makes up for how terrible the pacing is

2024-02-01 14:41:47 +0000 UTCyes dressrosa is badly paced, but everything else about the arc is incredible, enough so that it is still one of my favorite arcs.
