If you have tons of things happening at first, but then all of a sudden change the way it goes for the next season then you're obviously going to lose quite a few people. For Slime, while I think the highs are extremely high in S2... overal I like S1 better simply because a lot more happens. There's all kinds of little arcs happening in-between and no shortage of fights. Meanwhile S2 basically just covers 1 big arc and has far fewer fights. That's a drastic shift in pacing (and it's also the exact same thing Re: Zero did and why people complain so much about S2). I do like both, but I do think they suffer from pacing issues in S2. That's not to say it's not fun to watch at all. But ah... Slime S2's 2nd half kinda pushes it quite a bit. Last episode was about a meeting, stuff came in-between so meeting then starts next ep. Then next ep... meeting barely starts and then... more interference. And do realize that people were originally waiting for a week in-between eps.

2024-01-05 10:47:47 +0000 UTCI still can't get over how much you like the politics and discussions. Me too! I still can't figure out how they do it, compared to all the other shows. I think it's the detail mixed with humor and the definitely not generic variety of characters. The world just keeps getting bigger. Next season's arc is where I start having trouble remembering names. Yuuki is a bit mysterious in his abilities. Eren and Gerald aren't actually elves, they are descendants of elves. It's just so funny how Rimuru treats Veldora, Diablo, and Shion as children, casually right in front of everyone else. Veldora and Rimuru are equals, though.
