2023-10-15 02:53:06 +0000 UTCI didn't love LoK when the first season premiered, but I've come to count the series ahead of ATLA with each rewatch. Some would say the series isn't perfect because of the somewhat disjointed/rushed quality that can be felt due to the way Nickelodeon mishandled so many aspects of its airing/production, but as a whole, LoK is an incredibly gripping story of growth and change. In that way Korra's journey is a lot more relatable than Aang's. I appreciate how the writers acknowledged that Aang wasn't a perfect father throughout LoK. It really serves to humanize him. The thing about LoK is that every episode carries weight/impact and I've been able to see how each character's arc is satisfying and perfect from listening to yalls thoughts and breakdowns of their motives.

2023-10-15 02:52:32 +0000 UTCIt never crossed my mind that the hummingbird suits basically represented different forms of love, and love is what enabled Kuvira's downfall. It's especially strong considering she turned away from her love for Bataar Jr. and what we know about her upbringing from the comics. It's actually pretty deep. Neat.
