I knew you’d appreciate it as a whole, but really was waiting for the Kuvira/Su battle, that is some of the best fighting in this show IMO! Last 3 episodes won’t let you down, but I have always wanted more from both series, bc I love it so much, so I’ve never felt full closure with either :(

2023-10-10 12:46:38 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite Episodes. With one of the sickest fight scenes. And It shows How talented and disciplined Kuvira is as an Earth/Metalbender. She is one of the best in the world. I always regretted it that the Show made her to be such a monster cause she had some good points: Earthroyalty were Horrible at governing. She modernised the Nation at breakneck speed (I am not down with her methods of course and the end definately doesnt justify her means. ) She also made sure that the Earth Kingdom wasnt taken advantage of by installing a Puppet government by the other Nationss (especially RAIKU. Who as you already figured out is a big selfish Asshole, there is a cool arc about him in one of the Korra Comics.) And yes I actually agree that Wu has no business taking any charge in the Earth Kingdom. Thats what I like about Legend of Korra alot. You see the world becoming far more complex. Young United Republic dealing and wheeling for ressources and Politcal Control over their neighbor nation, The Fire Nation similar to Germany being very ANTI War because of their past. IS Kuvira a Dictator, yes, IS she harming environment/Spirits. Yes. But as long as she isnt attacking anyone and the Minerals and other Ressources flow out for trade. We dont intervene. Part of me is glad Kuvira never picked up the Lie Detector Skill. She would be terrifying with that.
