I think Korra repeating mistakes is reflective of her upbringing with how she was coddled and supported by the white lotus then others in season 1 saved her in several scenarios so that's why she can be bratty since she is used to someone pulling her out of her own problems or supporting her. She's impatient due to her short temper and overconfidence stemming from her entitled attitude. I now better understand why Korra was insufferable this season.

There are definitely some frustrating things about it, and it’s the weakest season for sure, BUT some of the BEST things in the whole show are from this season, and has one of my favorite 2 parters! Thanks for keeping an open mind!

2023-07-31 22:33:13 +0000 UTCOn Korra acting like she did at the beginning of Book 1, I think one of the things that they were going for was building on Korra not having consequences at the end of Book 1. Korra lost her bending and was given it back very quickly. She thinks that because she was able to come back from what seemed like a point of no return, she's invincible. As a result, she is reluctant to listen to feedback from anyone. I also think a large part of it is that she's still very much afraid of Amon and traumatized by what he did to her. So she's hiding those feelings by putting on a false bravado.
