I can promise you are gonna love season 3 the best. Truly amazing! Also there are comics that tell you a lot of what happened between the ending of avatar and beginning of Korra. You guys should read them they explain quite a lot and give answers to things also

2023-08-23 18:47:07 +0000 UTCAlso for the ending you have to remember it’s a kids show and they were only given 1 season they can’t leave little kids watching it with the mindset if you do good you’re just gonna get the shit end of the stick. They had to rush it and “fix” everything cause they didn’t know if it would be the only chance they could.

2023-08-01 03:09:27 +0000 UTCSomething super big I loved that no one noticed, Amon aka noatak was the best blood bender around hence why no one could hit him in a fight he could read you’re body constantly and know what you’re doing. That’s how he found Korra under the table. BUT if you notice on the boat as tarlock reached for the globe and unscrewed the gas cap Amon clearly knew he was doing it that’s why he shed a tear right before he died. But as he said in the attic tarlock is all he has left in the world he was fine with dying cause he could have easily stopped him and froze him in place cause he knew he was doing it.

2023-08-01 03:02:05 +0000 UTCYeah the ending ending was incredibly rushed lmao. which is sad because the rest was great. I am completely fine with Korra (and the others) getting their bending back though. I commented before that I don't know how to feel about Noatak having the same ability as aang, but without the struggle. but if he only blocked it, instead of completely taking it away, that explains it.

2023-07-31 23:48:15 +0000 UTCI'm fine with Korra getting her bending back and giving it back to others. Keep in mind that it was never truly taken away, the access was just blocked with blood bending shenanigans not unlike Aang losing access to the Avatar state by blocking his chakras and he got it back by being poked in the back. This is not like Aang actually taking away Ojai's ability to bend.

2023-07-30 09:05:28 +0000 UTCYo when Tarrlok was looking at those gloves... I was NEVER prepared for that boat And I'm pretty sure Noatok KNEW what his brother was about to do. I think they both wanted to just stop. They were just... both so tired. 😥

2023-07-30 05:20:19 +0000 UTCWeird for me it would not sit right if the Avatar master of the elements and with help from Aang could not restore what some bloodbender did. Hell even Katara should have been able to do it on a full moon. Yes it kinda robs all the consequences of what happened but i still prefer the Avatar to do Avatar stuff that make sense in the story over that.

2023-07-29 22:29:18 +0000 UTCI was fine with Korra getting her bending back because that can be explained with like avatars can’t loose their duty or whatever but her being able to restore it to others didn’t sit right with me otherwise great season

2023-07-29 20:35:15 +0000 UTCI love LoK a lot, like a lot a lot, but man, Nickelodeon really hurt it. If they had gotten 20 episodes and and knew that they were allowed to do more seasons after this, then they wouldn't have had to rush so much stuff, could have done a different ending and developed the characters more. Rest assured, I think this is the last time they do a Deus ex machina like that. Future events will have consequences and the show will be a lot better when they don't have to do a magic happy ending in the last 2 minutes. See you in season 2!

2023-07-29 16:35:10 +0000 UTCHOLY SHIT KELVIN KNEW, My honest theory is that I think Noatak could feel what Tarrlok was doing with his blood-bending. And that's why he teared up. Also, as a huge Avatar fan I get where ur coming from. I finished the Last Airbender when I was 12 and I despised this show when I first watched it, but its Korra's personal journey, an extremely unpredictable one. I cant wait to see your reactions to the rest of the show, forget what you know about nickelodeon because this is not a kid's show anymore

2023-07-29 14:57:13 +0000 UTCYeah I don't like how they just get rid of all the consequences of Amon's actions as if nothing happened. Other than that I still think the show is good overall.

2023-07-29 14:26:32 +0000 UTCGreat reactions, can’t wait for more! I think your concerns are valid, the end definitely feels a bit rushed. I’m glad they didn’t take the route of her relearning it all though, bc we already saw that in ATLA, but I agree, the fake outs are getting old. This season and show are still amazing, and Team Asami all the way!

2023-07-29 03:33:21 +0000 UTCGreat finale. And pls remember ur wish about consequences when you watch more of Korra. Next season is full of great additions. And some awesome new stuff lore, characters and their arcs.

2023-07-29 01:37:22 +0000 UTCHonestly, and since the avatar state is literally gaining the powers and wisdom of your predecessors, it makes sense why she’s able to energybend and restore bending while in the avatar state, since Aang already knew how to do so

2023-07-29 00:38:46 +0000 UTCAlso Season 2 gets shit on a lot, but the animation and fight choreography is wild, which I think you guys will love. In my mind, Season 2 feels somewhat experimental, but really works to expand the Avatar universe to set up Seasons 3 and 4 while creating a stronger connection to ATLA.

2023-07-29 00:33:35 +0000 UTCI'm glad to see you two genuinely enjoyed this finale despite the rushed feel of the last two or so minutes. I watched ATLA when I was in my late teens and LOK in my 20's. I hated Korra's brash headstrong nature then because she went against everything ATLA told us an Avatar should be. Retrospectively I've gained a better understanding in my 30s of how realistic and nuanced a portrayal Korra is of not only a teen girl but of someone who has immense power and responsibility in a changing world during seemingly peaceful times compared to Aang who did not want to be the Avatar but rose to the responsibility because the world was at war with the Fire Nation.

2023-07-29 00:31:19 +0000 UTC14 episodes 😭 season two is the longest for some reason

2023-07-28 23:07:28 +0000 UTCRemember Aang said he learned to bend the energies, just like the Lion Turtles taught him. They used to bend energies before the time of bending the elements. Aang learned that, his spirit did it to Korra and now she learned to bend the energies, and can take and restore bending like Aang. :) And don't worry, Seaon 3 is wayyyyyy better than Season 2.

2023-07-28 23:06:19 +0000 UTCMy thing is, Aang learned to take people’s bending away from a lion turtle right away RIGHT BEFORE THE FINAL FIGHT without any struggle so why is Korra not given a pass too. Considering this was a one season show at first, this ending makes sense. Give Korra some slack haha Season 2 dips in quality a bit but those two-part episodes in the middle makes up for it in my opinion. I think you guys will like that. Season 3 is definitely TOP so I can’t wait to see your reaction to it.

2023-07-28 22:59:43 +0000 UTCYeah, I kind of feel you on the ending. When I first saw it, the boat scene to me was a genuinely shocking and pretty dark choice for Avatar as a whole (even though Korra is already leaning a bit more adult in general) and then the last few scenes starting with Korra regaining her bending are kind of the complete opposite as they reset and undo even some of the earlier consequences insanely quickly. It's sort of a weird mix in tone in a short amount of time that's just a bit odd in combination. I do often love me some bittersweet endings in stories, but somehow this doesn't feel like that, but it's just extremely heavy and dark on the villain side of things and then extremely happy ending on the hero side rather than a mix of both. In comparion: For ATLA I've seen a few people that think the overall ending in that is also a bit too happy and perfect for our heroes, but whether you end up liking it or not the overall ending at the very least feels pretty consistent in being on optimistic positive message that is true to Aang as a character. In Korra when Tarrlok blows up the boat it initially feels like a tragedy for these two brothers that had no other choice left but then last minute removing all the more permanent consequences of Amon's actions put the necessity of the extreme choice of Tarrlok almost into question, because in the end no permanent harm seems to even stick around, so to me it always sort of clashed with each other in that regard.

2023-07-28 21:53:02 +0000 UTCThere is a LoK game made by Platinum which has Pro Bending as a mini-game it's not that amazing but it's something, the story covers till the end of season 2 so you might want to wait till you finish season 2 to look it up haha. Obviously they had a lot of troubles here they wanted to break new ground so having Kora slowly relearn the elements wouldn't have worked I don't think but I still love the Aang reveal. But there are a few things about the ending that were subtle and when I saw someone explain it, it made me appreciate it more. Kora was straight up going to jump off that cliff to let the next Avatar be born. We're looking through her eyes at the bottom of the cliff it was that horrible realization that caused Aang to appear to her. LoK isn't amazing but I can still appreciate the new things they explored while expanding the world I think there was more positive than negative by the end.

2023-07-28 21:46:09 +0000 UTCSeason 2, while my least favorite, is still great! There are some absolutely stellar episodes. It just gets a bit... weird at times, and I think that's why it's lower in people's rankings. So glad you guys are sticking with it! Just 12 or 13 episodes to go until the absolute cracked season 3!

2023-07-28 21:37:43 +0000 UTCAs far as the animation goes, season two dips in quality, first half of the season, because they had to get another studio for it. They didn't know they had to make another season. But once their original team of animators come back for the last half, it really steps it up. Season 3 even more so. Wait until you see those fights.

2023-07-28 21:29:41 +0000 UTCConsidering the fact that this was supposed to be a one season show, the ending makes sense to me. But knowing that there are three seasons after it, it does seem kind of rushed imho.

2023-07-28 21:09:20 +0000 UTCWell, when I first watched it, this was it, just one season, no more after this. It was always intended as a mini-series, just 12 episodes. So I was okay with the ending. Yeah it was rushed and happy, but no way they could leave it on a sad note, especially not after the murder/suicide, I mean come on. They had to make a happy ending after that.
