I'm rewatching this and not 100% sure but both of the the old ladies (at the food stand and the one figuring out that she's the avatar) sound exactly like Lin's VA lmao

Definitely a more adult show, but honestly I lowkey would've liked to see a PG-13 or R rated avatar show (like more realism and less kids show) and korra could've been that since much of the indented audience was grown up Avatar fans

I love her so much and her development through the show is so well written. I also really like the subtle style changes, like having Jazz in the soundtrack or the bending shifting from eastern martial arts to kickboxing or MMA. Also that tease XD "What happened to Zuko's mom?" "Buy the f*ing comics and find out, I'm not telling you"

Keep in mind that places like Tokyo went from carts and letters to cars and telegrams in 50ish years which lines up with TLOK. Katara being a teen to a grandmother is easily enough time for places like republic city to pop up.
