2023-07-02 23:16:05 +0000 UTCTalking about Korra, I am not sure how you feel about the Star Wars sequal trilogy, but I find it interesting to kompare it to how Korra handled being a sequal of a franchise that had a conclusion and how to continue it. I find that Korra handles it much better, but I can also understand some of the criticism people have of it. Looking forward to your reaction either way :)

2023-07-02 18:32:44 +0000 UTCThere are definitely signs that, if Azula is pushed too far, she could snap. Book 2: "Almost perfect. One hair out of place....... Almost isn't good enough" Book 3 after she starts breaking: "Five to be precise. In which time an assassin could have snuck in, done away with me and been on his merry way...... Tardiness and disloyalty?! (going back to her being on time for the beach party earlier on in this book for which she wanted to be the perfect party guest)" And then later when the same hair that gave her problems during her lighting bending lesson became an even worse obstacle in her preparation to be the Fire Lord, she decides to just do away with it altogether, only stopped by her mother hallucination. It's perfection. If everything isn't perfect, she goes a little crazy. It's because she was so perfect in her bending growing up that she got any love at all from either parent. She knew from watching Zuko struggle for attention from their father that, if she slipped up and showed she wasn't perfect, she'd be cast aside. She already wasn't getting any love from her mother in her eyes. Perfection= "love" Another reason for pushing Ty Lee when they were kids too. Azula messed up during their cartwheel practice while Ty Lee did perfectly, ending in a perfect landing.....that wasn't perfect anymore after Azula pushed her. There are tons of little signs everywhere if you're looking for any situation with Azula where her "perfection" is called into question, either by herself or those around her. Her cherries weren't perfect, her mentality was called into question for if she could be that Fire Lord her father wanted her to be and....her foot hygiene XDDD they'd already been scrubbing at them things for a while already and she looked like she'd been there for a good minute before the scene started. Your feet are good, my guy. XDDD

2023-06-28 01:06:23 +0000 UTCGreat Finale. ANd you guys spoiled us by dropping all 4 parts Awesome! Concerning Korra. I love this little imperfect show. Objectively no it isnt as good as Avatar. But Avatar was really DAMN Good. And thats hard to follow. Korra is a great show on its own. And It will do stuff differently. The music, The animation (s1&3) is amazing and a jump ahead from Avatar. However keep in mind that: Korra has far less episodes than Avatar. And its story structure is more an Anthology meaning each Season has its own arc that gets concluded. While Avatar had the whole overarching plot. Master all 4 Elements and defeat the firelord. AS Always I say: Korras Best episodes are better imo than tghe best of Avatars. And the worsts are well worse. SO higher highs and lower lows. Plus there were many roadblocks laid by nickelodeon and Production issues. Like Nick not wanting a female Avatar back then. Budget Cuts ect. Also Studio Myr quit after season 1 because they practically lived at work and were so overworked by the animation demands. I dont know if you know anything about that but what they did is INSANE. (They do come back by Season 3) However up until a few years ago (3 or 4) nobody was doing as much crazy shit animation wise as Legend of Korra. they had like 20k Frames per ep (while most anime have like 5 to 6k)

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at Korra, I rewatched it a couple months ago with my family, and man I underestimated that show! Granted the first time I watched it was on Nickelodeons website, they really didn’t make it easy for people to watch. So much to love and enjoy about Korra. If I had to rate ATLA, it would be 10/10 for me, bc even the filler episodes are my favorite characters just hanging out, and I would take more of that any day. I’d rate Korra 8/10. It really is epic in its own way, but for reasons pertaining to spoilers, I can only make it an 8.

2023-06-25 16:45:29 +0000 UTCBack when they announced the Avatar the Last Airbender movie, I had assumed it was going to be focused on the continuation of the cartoon where we'd see where Zuko's mother was, etc... Not being stuck to the comic only. Sadly, that wasn't the case. XD

A lot of people gave their reasons for what to expect from Korra so I'll just give yall some of the reasons why I like Korra. Ofcourse people will always compare Aang and Korra, good/bad, but I think people kinda forget about the other aspect in the show, some of the characters, good or bad, are my fav in media, the world is much bigger and brighter (no spoilers) there are some interesting technics displayed, some of the issues in Korra are interesting for a world of bending, the animation is also very well done, and the show is quite mature in a way (you'll see). One thing I do like (I don't know if I'm the only one) is that Korra and Aang are not the same character, they are both different in their own ways which I really appreciate, the attitudes, maturity, and ideologies, sure they have their moment when they're kinda alike but that's it. Over all it is a fun watch with or without its flaws. Anyways, thanks for this crazy journey cannot wait to see other reactions.

I have watched some episodes here and there from different "reactors" but you are the only one that I stuck with. My only membership on patreon, really like how you are sooo in the series like you follow everything that is happening, coming up with your own theories and so much more, thank you for awesome reactions in all the things you watch! Also, got some serious chills after the kissing scene with Aang Katara when the music starts and "The end" shows. Found myself with such a big smile it started to hurt lol. (Finaly sorry for my bad english, not my 1st language).

I truly think every single character had a phenomenal character arc, ESPECIALLY Azula and Zuko. When it comes to Korra, I'm sure you've already been told not to go in with too high expectations, but it's still a fun watch and I really enjoyed season 1 especially. Can't wait for your reactions. As for Zuko's mom, her story is explored in a trilogy of graphic novels called "The Search".
