The Kuma scene for instance is clear to people who knows what happens that it is the Straw Hats fighting a Pacifista in Sabaody. For people watching for the first time, they just see scenes of the Straw Hats fighting someone that they just fought in the most recent arc. Most people will assume it is just showing random fight scenes. Especially considering how so many One Piece openings shows stuff that never actually happens.

There even was a special Chapter 0 for the movie Strong World in which we see all young versions of the warlords at Roger's execution, but crocodile is only seen from behind, and other depictions of him in his youth always are rather ambiguous, so the theory stayed alive XD

2023-06-17 11:47:38 +0000 UTCI don't think the opening is spoilery at all, it appears spoilery when watched after the fact with knowledge of the story but when it originally premiered it just showed a bunch of unknown new characters and a few out of context scenes. See also their original reaction from way back when, they made a few guesses, most of them wrong.

2023-06-17 01:59:18 +0000 UTCfunny thing, but back in the day when you guys reacted to this opening for the first time, and the scene where Ace and Luffy were standing side by side with the vivre card burning, you thought Ace was Future Luffy π which is funny but also understandable bc they're brothers and obviously very similar to each other +Crocodile saying "Hisashiburi dana, Mugiwara" is a very iconic line, just saying. if you're on tiktok anime edits you gonna be hearing it a lot π

I absolutely adore that headstrong desert princess. Then it's Nami Robin Sanji. After THAT its honestly a toss up and changes everytime I think about it.

2023-06-16 19:28:38 +0000 UTCbtw the voice of Jimbei has changed from when he first spoke in ep430 becuase his VA Daisuke Gori saddly passed away in 2009 when these episodes came out. he is now voiced by Katsuhisa Hoki who also voices Gecko Moria if you can believe that.

2023-06-16 19:18:56 +0000 UTCWhen people are making these top lists I always try to think on what mine would be at that point in the series rather than now, but it's actually so hard to blank everything afterwards out. But Sanji, Usopp, Luffy are usually the ones that have been locked in up there since early on and then at this point in the story it's probably Robin and Zoro for the other two spots, making it a fairly Strawhat exclusive list, but right around the current arcs is where some others will sneak in there.
