It's done by studio trigger, which is an offshoot of gainax which made Gurren Lagann, trigger was specifically started by a lot of the people who made Gurren Lagann, so technically different studio, but a lot of the same people and same atmosphere. Also check out kill la kill, was their first anime after splitting from gainax
