I've done a bit of experimentation and have begun to develop a "Pantheon" of the different Aspects of my macrophilia. Sort of a personal exploration into the individual facets that make my own 'unique' sort of outlook to macro/micro ideas and concepts. To that effect, I sketched out some ideas, and have settled on 10 individual 'Aspects', five male and five female, who each either model or prefer the specific 'aspect' of macrophilia for myself.
I've only really thought out the "Female" side so far though, with some sketches and character design. These are the "positive" aspects that I feel are more self-serving and indulgent, with a focus on the self. I'd like to develop them all into unique characters over time, but as usual it is very difficult to focus and concentrate on one particular thing at a time, especially with a full time job now taking up a lot of that energy...
Andromeda is my 'First' goddess, the Air Aspect of Crushing. She represents my passion for crushing smaller buildings, people, cities, planets, and so forth beneath weight and mass, be it paws, or other parts of the body. She has dominion over Gravity, able to adjust her density to drift gently amongst the clouds or be as dense as a neutron star when she feels the need, but generally is more amused by seeing the reactions and feeling the little things crush and pop against her.
Theia is the Earth Aspect of Destruction. Named after the hypothetical Mars-sized planetoid that crashed into the Earth and created the Moon in the process, she is the raw, unfiltered joy of destruction that surges forth and obliterates everything and anything with blisteringly hot passion and sheer ecstatic violence. Her nonbinary status as a 'Nidoroyal' reflects my indifference to gender when it comes to rampages and fun, but she more often than not classifies herself as "goddess" more than "god", and thus is comfortable among the female Aspects.
Lyrelle is the Lightning Aspect of Domination. The most sensual of the female Aspects, Lyrelle is endlessly amused by the attention, awe, and worship that she receives as a towering and potent female figure. Her combination of Dragonite and Nidoqueen traits has given her a bit of arrogance, but she does understand and appreciates the value of the little lives she loves literally to death on a daily basis.
Cassieopeia is the Fire Aspect of Devouring. The all consuming need and pleasure of devouring people, buildings, cities, planets, and even entire universes is a burning and endless passion. The insatiable urge to devour everything is embodied in Cassie as a Charizard, frequently Gigantimaxxed and burning with a brilliant purple/red Dynamax fire from her horns, wings, and the entire length from head to tail like foxfire when she's truly in her element.
Rheia is the Water Aspect of Growth. As a Floatzel, she is frequently the smallest of the Aspects, but that quickly gets out of hand as she revels in the pure bliss of BIGGER. She will frequently see how big she can get while causing the minimum amount of destruction and chaos, and then unload ALL of her growth at once across the entire city, country, continent, or planet once she has >everyone's< attention...
There are five Male Aspects as well, some still in development though. These are the 'Negative' aspects, those that would be considered 'evil' by most due to their inherent malign methods or attitude. These Aspects represent the Dark Desires within me, and are not to be taken as "My Bad Side." they merely represent the darkness that I have learned to harness and control over 40 years as an artist, and I have pledged to use these emotions and ideas solely for the creation of my art.
Aleph the Lucario is my current Water Aspect of Desecration. The desire to show dominance and power by not only destroying, but specifically targeting and ruining places of worship, of innocence, of congregation and historical value.
Gemini the Mewtwo is my current Lightning Aspect of Subjugation. The desire to show power and brutality through seizing the little lives down to their soul and break apart their existence painlessly down to nothing, leering and reveling in their near permanent erasure.
Eclipse the Umbreon is not their name, but it is the word closest to their Earth Aspect of Reduction. They are the complete and total indifference that those Above have towards those Below. The elephant does not care for the ants they tread upon. Thus does the Aspect tread upon realities below them without malice or pity.
I have an unnamed Dark Lycanroc as the Fire Aspect of Eradication. The virulent and knife's edge thrill of killing those microscopic and insignificant lives without remorse, without repercussion, and without any thought other than visceral delight. Death is their domain and it is passionate, indiscriminate, and eternally insatiable. I have yet to draw them as well, but the idea is building.
I also now have the unnamed Air Dracario of Innocence. There's a darkness hiding within the halls of the Innocent, for they know not what their actions do and the effect they have on those around them. The mighty may lift a foot to take a step towards the horizon, and do not notice those they have shattered beneath until after the fact. Innocence and curiousity of exploration, seeing what these tiny little worlds are and how they turn to powder at a touch, that is what the Aspect of Innocence represents.
Domination, Destruction, Crushing, Devouring, and Growth
Desecration, Subjugation, Eradication, Reduction, and Innocence
I have found a balance amidst these ten facets of my nature and seek to maintain this balance through the rest of my days on this planet, no matter how many or few they may be.
I would love to hear ideas for expanding upon these Aspects, either visually or spiritually.
