Checking In Again [Important!]
Added 2024-12-23 19:21:17 +0000 UTCApologies with text posts, but I just want to make sure everyone's informed. I appreciate and take all of your support seriously, so I want to make sure I'm communicating between long pauses in posting finished artwork.
Trying to find space/time to properly catch up with requests, but it's been difficult with visitation appointments for our home, and of course, the extreme bustle of the holidays. I'm anticipating doing some major posting in January, though....
I have been summoned to Jury Duty January 8th in my county. [ I KNOW. ]
Meaning there's a possibility of me being selected for a trial. Hopefully I won't.
[Edit: Jury duty is a non-negotiable summoning by local government here in the USA. You must appear when requested, or be fined. You're basically going to be vetted to -possibly- participate in the jury for a trial. If you're selected, then you could have to sit through long court proceedings that last several days or several weeks. It depends on the situation. ]
That being said! I am working on things when I can, but it'll be much slower going until things can calm down. As always, I'll make sure you're all informed.

Fortunately (for people like me I suppose?) if you have a mental illness or social neurodivergency, with a dr's written note, you can be excused from jury duty. I've been called for it 3-4 different times & was excused every time due to migraines, panic, & anxiety. I know that's not applicable for everyone, but it's something that (by law) jury duty has to abide by<3

I can get out of it if I have a legitimate reason, but at this time I don't meet any criteria to be excused... unless it's a murder trial.
